Jaffna Duck Curry
Duck cooked tender in light coconut gravy, creamy yet gentle with spice warmth. Felt different from the usual and easily my favourite of the meal 》$34

Seeni Sambol
Caramelised onion that’s rich and sticky with tamarind giving a sweet‑tangy lift. Paired beautifully with the curry and rice 》$8

Dallo Baduma
Crispy fried calamari with a buttery chilli kick. Good crunch and flavour though it didn’t fare as well compared to the duck curry 》$26

Yellow Rice
Fragrant and fluffy, cashews adding bite and caramelised onions bringing sweetness. Ordered the half portion and it’s still enough for sharing between two 》$5

The exterior comes out golden brown and cracks with a clean crunch. Inside, the crab filling is soft and creamy, carrying gentle sweetness that blends with Sri Lankan spices. The dip adds a garlicky and peppery lift that brightens the richness, making each bite layered and lively 》$18

Crisp waffle with a chewy nian gao twist, topped with honey chamomile & butterfly pea flowers and matcha banana. The floral scoop is light and calming while the matcha banana turned out to be a surprisingly fun mix that works beautifully. Always a treat here since nian gao waffles aren’t something I come across often 》$16 + $0.50 Premium + $0.80 Nian Gao Waffle

Okay overall. Wok hei was not strong enough. Chewy dark kway teow with fish cake, sotong, beansprout, and vegetables, topped with a cracked fresh egg in the middle resembling a moon for mixing.

Tender meat, slightly dry in some parts, but with crisp skin. The salt mixture enhanced the taste.

Consists of four small dishes served on a big plate: Ming Zhu Rolls, Prawn Rolls, Dough Fritter with Seafood Paste, and Yam Basket. All were crispy and delicious on their own. Especially liked the yam basket. Prawn roll and dough fritter were umami. Ming Zhu Roll was filling, a beancurd pouch stuffed with salted egg yolk, prawn, ham, and stewed mushrooms, though it got a little dry.

Sea cucumber was soft, delicate, and easily cut with just a spoon. Beancurd was standard, soft and silky. Gravy was savoury with peas, mushrooms, and carrots. Good to pair with rice.

Smooth and chewy, nicely coated. No bones, which is good for lazy eaters. Taste was standard, sweet with an aromatic coffee note.

$108 per kg that day. Choice of thick or thin bee hoon. Sweet, savoury, umami, creamy, and milky. A heart‑warming soup with plenty of vegetables and noticeable ginger flavour. Crab claw was huge, though I forgot to take a picture.

Tossed for good health, wealth, and prosperity. Nicely prepared and served. Staff helped with the greetings and pouring of ingredients, leaving us to toss for fun. Taste was alright, with abalone that was soft, chewy, and easy to bite.

Opening in September 2021, this restaurant may be out-of-the-way, but it also goes out-of-its-way in service and food quality. A reliable hidden find.
