Serious brand with multiple types of tea leaves. But expensive lor. Fragrant but I had to sweeten it further.

Serious brand with multiple types of tea leaves. But expensive lor. The milk was deep.

Nothing is complete without Ngoh Hiang on a visit to Beach Road Prawn Noodle House. The ngoh hiang skin comes with meat peppered with crunchy carrots wrapped in beancurd skin and then deep fried till crispy. Other items I ordered to go along are crispy beancurd skin, prawn crackers and dough fritters that came with the classic hot pink sauce and chilli dip 》$6.20

Jumbo Prawn Mee is a “must-try signature” on the menu that comes with three XL-sized prawns sliced in halves. The only difference is the size of the prawns while the noodles remain the same as others in terms of the portion. The prawns were fresh and came off the shells easily with firm and bouncy meat. The broth was full-bodied and flavourful with a pleasant crustacean aroma. It is even better when sprinkled with their homemade chilli powder. A simply hearty and satisfying bowl of prawn noodles 》$15

Came by Tan Ser Seng for dinner and was surprised by how crowded it was despite their location. Ordered their Cordyceps Chicken Soup, and Ginseng Black Chicken Soup. The soups were both extremely tasty and rich. You could tell by the thickness and umami that they boiled these for a long time. The chicken in the soup was super soft as well- it falls right off the bone. This might be one of the best herbal soups we've had. Ordered some sides to go with our meal, and they were so well made too. Particularly loved their fried prawn rolls. Will definitely return here for a dose of hearty soup for the soul.

Honestly, I had the best ginseng chicken herbal soup at Tan Ser Seng. The soup was super flavorful and generously filled with herbs. I didn’t expect the chicken to be fall-off-the-bone tender, which made it such a delight to enjoy.

The tofu and Ngoh Hiang also stood out to me, I’ve never had this kind of texture for Ngoh Hiang skin before. I absolutely loved it alongside the sesame sweet sauce. Super hearty, especially on a rainy day!

Side note: the staff here are super friendly as well, super attentive and kind ◡̈

beautifully executed set dinner, i loved every dish but my will-come-back-fors are definitely the prawn toast, jumbo prawns, aged kingfish loin and the burnt toast icecream sandwich! can’t wait to come back to try the other dishes, the next table ordered a lobster pao fan (?) and it looked amazing too

Quite pricey, I didn't expect the mutton curry to be so expensive

Chapati isn't as good this time

But the mutton curry is still super tender and thick, absolutely lovely with the strong mutton umami
