Other than the already nicely cooked and well‑seasoned steak, Meadesmoore Steakhouse has a few dishes that really stood out to me. I started with the bone marrow, and as someone trying it for the first time, I was genuinely surprised by how rich yet approachable it was. The marrow had a buttery, almost velvety texture that spread beautifully over the toast, with just enough seasoning to enhance its natural depth without overwhelming it.
The meal ended on a high note with their tiramisu, which turned out to be one of the night's standouts. The brandy cream gave the dessert a grown‑up and special twist.
The broth of the Seafood Paofan was incredibly rich and decadent - imbued with the creamy essence of the prawn heads and the umami freshness of the la las. The chili paste in the Jumbo Prawn & Pork Shabu Prawn Noodles further elevated the broth, creating a complex umami and spicy flavour. This, complemented by the generous portions of pork lard and kang kong, created a dish that is super indulgent yet not too cloying. Would recommend this restaurant to anybody who is considering getting a nice satisfying bowl of prawn noodles (especially on a rainy day!)
Vegan Ice Cream at Messina 🍦
Did not expect to see vegan ice cream here BUT reality proved me wrong 🤣 Their sorbets are all vegan 🥳 I got 2 scoops which are Salted Mango & Coconut and Pandan & Coconut. Definitely alot of coconut but its worth the try 😋 Service is 💯 as well.
One thing to note, they do serve non vegan options here. They have a list of ice creams which they will indicate if it contains Nuts, Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Soy or Alcohol👍 Pretty detailed!
Highly recommended for ice cream lovers, vegan or non vegan to visit. Just 5 minutes walk from Telok Ayer MRT station (DT18).
very cosy zi char place. i ordered the hainanese chicken rice (steamed) which was cooked to perfection tbh! i was surprised by how tender and savoury the chicken was. the rice was also fragrant and not too greasy. for sides, we got the fish maw soup and the chap chye. the soup was well-seasoned and tasted very comforting. the vegetables were also full of flavour (i couldn't stop eating them). overall, great experience! i love that the portions they gave were very generous too.
Ah… so comforting. A spicy, thick curry served piping hot in a claypot with a huge chicken drumstick, thigh, and a whole potato. The curry had a good ratio of spice base that made it thick and savoury, with curry leaves adding fragrance and chilli padi giving extra heat. The chicken was soft, tender, and easy to debone, while the potato had a firm bite outside but was soft inside.
What stood out was the generous amount of curry sauce, making it easy to pair with rice without worrying about running out. The balance of spice and creaminess gave the dish a homely feel, hearty yet tastisfying. It is one of those bowls that warms you up instantly.
I also recommend trying their assam fish curry, which offers a tangy alternative to the richness of the chicken curry.

($4) I wanted to try their cake for a long time but I haven't no chance to try so until recently I decided to make a trip down to upp aljunied road. Coconut Mochi Donut was quite chewy after doing reheating. Matcha was quite bitter whereas Strawberry Compete was quite sour aftertaste.
($7.50) comes with prawn only and also soup version contained with minced meats, veg and egg without seafood. opt out for no chili and just only sweet sauce to mix with ban mian. But ban mian was not that hard but chewy texture.

- Angelica Herb Roast Duck 當歸烤鴨🦆
- Stir Fried Lotus Roots with Macadamia Nuts 鳳果傳珍🥙
- Pork Floss Deep Fried Kai-lan 肉鬆炸芥蘭🥗
- Wheatgrass Tofu with Seafood 小麥草豆腐🌱
The roast duck and lotus roots are the must-order, thumbs up! Lean duck meat with the Angelica herb sauce, not overpowering, how can one say no… lotus roots was crunchy, together with macadamia nuts, something light, which creates a balance for the meal…
First time trying pork floss deep fried kailan but not my kind of dish, cos not a fan of pork floss, felt it’s normal, can try…
Wheatgrass tofu was not bad, can order…

($7.90) I felt that the broth was quite milky tbh but the spring onion got strong smell (I detest it off). But chasu texture was quite thin and got a lot of fat inside which I don't like it at all.
($6.90) its quite spicy aftertaste when served in hot but I felt that spicy chicken serving was quite less :")
