Chanced upon this restaurant we thought served all things prawns, tucked in a nice new enclave.
For bites, the Ostra Regal oysters airflows from France was really fresh and succulent.
For smalls, the Squid and Ink was crunchy with a subtle ocean taste which was not overpowering.
For hearth, the Monkfish and Cashew Curry was very tender and fresh too, and the liberal sprinkling of chives added some crunch too.
Staff were also very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant manager Aloysius was also kind enough to give us a bowl of their signature prawn/pork broth which reminded us of their famous prawn noodles in MacPherson. Highly recommended, esp if you are in the area.
Stepping into One Prawn and Co, I was immediately charmed by the cozy ambiance and creative menu. This is not your average dining spot—it’s an adventure for your taste buds, starting with innovative starters and culminating in exceptional mains.
The meal began with their signature starter, Love Letter. These delicate, wafer-thin rolls were filled with a savory surprise, a modern twist on the traditional treat. Each bite was a delightful mix of crunch and rich, flavorful fillings—an unforgettable start that set the tone for the evening.
For the mains, the Fish Burger was a showstopper. The fish fillet was perfectly fried, golden and crispy on the outside while tender and flaky inside. Paired with a creamy house-made tartar sauce, crisp lettuce, and a soft, toasted bun, it was a comforting yet refined take on a classic. The side of fries was equally impressive—crispy, well-seasoned, and addictive.
The Squid Noodles stole the spotlight. The dish featured tender squid pieces tossed with Squid Noodles noodles in a rich, umami-packed sauce. Subtle hints of garlic, chili, and herbs elevated the dish to something truly special, blending bold flavors with delicate textures.
Service was impeccable, with staff attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The balance of creativity and execution at One Prawn and Co is what makes it stand out. If you’re looking for a meal that’s both adventurous and satisfying, this restaurant is a must-visit.
Had a sumptuous meal with my partner at One Prawn & Co on a lovely Sunday night!
We enjoyed 3 bites, 3 smalls and 1 hearth.
Our personal favourite was definitely the Prawn Toast and Aioli! It was crispy, yet the prawn was juicy, and it paired really well with the aioli. We couldn’t stop wow-ing and I’m salivating just thinking about it! Two dishes that stood out were the Love Letter with Ankimo Mousse and Squid Noodles and Ink, they were nothing like any dishes we had before. Of course, the Haddock Burger was also something we would recommend all to try!
All ingredients used were super fresh, and to top it off, the open kitchen concept was really cool as we could see the chefs in action as they meticulously prepared our food! Can’t wait to come back for another date night ❤️
If you're looking for a unique twist on the classic prawn noodle, One Prawn and Co is a must-visit. This gem of a restaurant brings a refreshing take on the beloved dish, offering a variety of noodle bowls that stand out from the crowd. I recently tried their Jumbo Prawn and 16-Hours Smoked Beef Brisket Ramen with my partner, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Service was friendly, and the ambiance was casual yet modern, making it a great spot for both quick bites or a more relaxed meal with friends. The pricing was reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
Overall, One Prawn and Co. offers a unique and delightful dining experience. Whether you're a fan of prawn noodles or ramen, they bring something fresh to the table that’s definitely worth trying. Highly recommended!
Food and price were actually sooo good! Loved the tagliatelle the sauce soooo delish but felt that the manager’s attitude changed completely when she heard we were using burpple… like she didn’t even look at us when talking to us compared to the friendliness showed when sitting us down 🥲
The beef bulgogi with bafun uni was well-seasoned, with the pickled radish balancing the rich flavors. However, the uni didn’t stand out as much as expected. The octopus with assam hummus was a surprising combination, with the hummus’ spicy kick adding an unexpected twist. Even those who don’t usually enjoy hummus would find this dish appealing. The smoked ice cream, kaya, and coffee cleverly reimagined kaya toast with a cup of coffee, especially with the addition of dark soy sauce, which added an intriguing depth. The service was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere made for a relaxing dinner experience.
went for the dinner menu and was pleasantly surprised by the dishes served. there was always a twist to the item on the menu and we had a great time trying to guess the ingredients used.
highly recommend trying the haricot verts & buratta. the octopus with assam hummus was the perfect texture and spiciness!
pic shows the beef bulgogi & bafun uni - also worth a try!
Came here to catch up with a group of friends and from the moment we arrived, it was clear that One Prawn & Co values quality and transparency in everything they do. The open kitchen added a unique charm, allowing us to watch the chefs in action as they carefully crafted each dish with precision. For items ordered by weight, such as the Dry-Aged Black Cod and the 16-Day Dry-Aged Kingfish with Pickled Papaya Slaw, the staff thoughtfully presented the seafood to us beforehand, showing its exact weight to ensure complete clarity. This small but meaningful gesture made us feel well-informed and valued.
We also tried the Prawn Toast with Aioli, which was perfectly crisp and bursting with flavor, and the Signature Fish Burger paired well with the homemade tartare sauce with a slight hint of yuzu. For dessert, the Pavlova was refreshing with tropical fruits pairing well with the lime mousse, while the Smoked Ice Cream offered a creative and indulgent end to the meal.
The creativity and span of the menu was dazzling! The whole place brimmed with energy, fun and warmth. Food was meticulously and impeccably prepared
I was especially wowed by the Ankimo Mousse love letter, crab croquette and Signature Fish Burger.
An open kitchen fine dining restaurant with a fun menu. One of my favourite is the Ankimo moose love letter. The crispiness of the love letter and smoothness of the moose with a touch of pink peppercorn was amazing. Will definitely recommend you to try too!
I had an incredible time at One Prawn & Co. Sitting at the counter gave me a front-row seat to watch the chefs in action, which made the experience even more enjoyable, because I know that the chefs took pride in every detail.
I ordered the Prawn Toast with Alioli, Jumbo Tiger Prawn with Tamarind, 14 Days Dry-aged Kingfish with Pickled Papaya Slaw, Gindara with Seaweed Congee and Jujube, Smoked Ice Cream with Kaya and Coffee, and Tropical Fruits with Lime Mousse and Pavlova.
The food was bold, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The freshness of the seafood really stood out, and the woodfire grill added a rich depth to the dishes. If you’re into modern Asian flavors, this place is a must-visit! 🥳
A fantastic spot for a romantic experience. I ordered the crab croquette, octopus with assam hummus, and the jumbo tiger prawn. Each dish was exquisitely crafted and bursting with flavor. Watching the cooking process, including the unique grilling technique, added a memorable touch to the meal.
A special thank you to Chef Gwyneth for sharing her inspiring story, which brought a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind each dish. The cozy ambience and warm, attentive service made the evening even more delightful. I’d highly recommend this place to couples looking for an elevated and intimate dining experience.
