Had an enjoyable meal at One Prawn & Co. Sat at the bar counter and got a front-row view of the open fire grill and plating process. The chef and staff were warm and attentive, introducing every dish when served.

Would definitely recommend the raw and half grilled oysters (incredibly fresh and succulent), Prawn Toast, Jumbo Tiger Prawn, Okra and Kingfish. Every dish was thoughtfully paired with a sauce that enhanced its flavour. If you enjoy bold and spicy dishes, the octopus is a must-try.

Will be back with fam and friends to try the other dishes and cocktails.

I had a great dining experience at One Prawn & Co. The staff were friendly, and even the chef personally came over to explain the dishes, which made the experience feel extra special.

I had the course meal and really enjoyed every part of it. The grilled oyster was fresh and delicious. The octopus paired with assam pedas hummus was a unique and flavourful combination. Both the jumbo prawn and the 16-day dry-aged kingfish loin were amazing.

I would definitely return and recommend this place to my friends!

My partner and I recently had a 7-course Western-style omakase at One Prawn & Co.

We were lucky to be seated the chef’s table to see all the action. It was especially impressive watching Chef Gwyneth run her kitchen, demanding the highest standards from her brigade occasionally sending food back and also putting so much care into pushing out each course to match the pace of every individual table. I have no idea how she does it. Bloody brilliant honestly.

On to the food, the prawn toast with aioli was my personal favourite. It sounded like a simple boring dish, but it was so much more than that. It was packed with flavor and texture – springy sweet prawn, perfectly crispy toast, and pickled onions that added a fresh, sour edge. It hit every note: sweet, salty, sour, and crunchy.

The grilled jumbo tiger prawn was another standout. Smoky, juicy, and beautifully balanced with a light leek oil and scallions that gave it a subtle Asian twist without overpowering the seafood’s natural flavor and the smoky grill taste.

We also loved the 16-day dry-aged kingfish, served both on its own and with a tangy green goddess sauce. The fish was smooth and slightly nutty, and the sauce added a gentle heat that suited our Asian tastebuds well.

The surprise dessert at the end of the meal was a lovely final touch!

Verdict:
Perfect for seafood lovers who appreciate smoky flavors, fine technique, and an East-meets-West approach. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing dinner at One Prawn & Co—a well-executed 7-course experience that combined bold Asian flavours with modern flair. The ambience was buzzy and energetic, with a great view of the open kitchen where the chefs were hard at work (and flames flying!).

Standouts for us were definitely the prawn toast, jumbo prawns with burnt leek oil, and the dry-aged kingfish. The prawn toast was crispy on the outside, yet juicy and flavourful inside—perfectly balanced. The jumbo prawns were fresh, sweet, and coated in a delicious sauce that had us scraping the plate. The kingfish, paired with salsa verde, was a surprising hit—the herbaceous sauce worked beautifully with the light saltiness of the fish.

Also worth mentioning was the octopus with assam pedas hummus—tender and well-charred from the grill, and the crispy lotus chips added a nice texture contrast.

All in all, a fun and memorable dinner date. The seafood was fresh, flavours were spot on, and service was smooth. Bonus points for easy parking too!

Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy quality seafood with a creative twist.
