2nd time back at @teppei_japanese_restaurant for their Dinner Omakase ($100) and I'm glad to be impressed again! Their portions did seem like they reduced a bit, but their quality remains wonderful. We loved how there are a variety of different cooking methods, so that you won't get bored halfway through the course. Most if not all food items were fresh and well flavoured.

Top dishes got to be their Miyazaki Beef, Negitoro Roll with Uni and Unagi Don. The beef was so tender and rich, the uni was just fantastically fresh and so full of umami and the unagi was satisfyingly crispy on the outside!

Do not expect to be in a really posh environment, as the atmosphere here is similar to an izakaya bar. The chef does not really talk to you much except introducing the dishes as they were pretty much rushing around whipping up the different courses. That being said, the course does not seem rushed at all and I enjoyed all dishes at my own pace. Definitely worth a try, especially if you are new to the omakase scene!

First time at this outlet after the outlet at Katong closed down.
My favourite sushi is the aburi sushi! Also they have good sushi rolls.
Place was packed so be prepared to wait for your food, some of the food we ordered actually didnโ€™t make it.
But overall for the price per pax, very value for money and would come back again!

Our chef Andy was very friendly and sharp in preparing our dishes. I enjoyed learning more about the dishes from him and watching him prepare our food.

Some of the dishes I liked were the striped jack with spring onion and the uni. I liked the freshness of the spring onion paired with the fresh umami flavour of the fish. The uni had a melt-in-the-mouth texture, which is always a delight.

The dishes were top-notch and the overall experience was very comfortable and peaceful. I would recommend anyone to dine here for a luxurious and gastronomic experience.

Came after hearing good reviews from friends and this place did not disappoint! I had the 8 course set and I loved the variety of fish (they had seabass, tuna, uni, grouper and a few others), and also how pretty and inviting each sushi looked. But the taste!! The sushi is so tender and melts in your mouth. Amazing experience here! Thanks to Chef Andy who made the whole experience personalised and for kindly explaining each dish. Also impressed that they import all their fish from Japan.

I recently had the chance to try out an omakase meal with my wife for an occasion, and it was seriously impressive! It kicked off with this smooth chawanmushi with crab meat topped with some fresh edamame and flowers โ€“ simple but delicious.

Then came the sushi. Every piece was super fresh and perfectly crafted. The tuna and uni were the standouts for me โ€“ melt-in-your-mouth good. You could really tell the chef put a lot of care into each piece.

The miso soup was the one that tied everything together and filled in any missing gaps and stomach space that I had (if there was any left) light and warm just what was needed after the few courses.

The meal ended with a light, refreshing jelly dessert that wasnโ€™t too sweet but a perfect way to finish off the evening.

Overall, the whole experience was top-notch, and Iโ€™d definitely recommend it if youโ€™re into sushi and want something special.

Iโ€™ve never been much of a sashimi lover, but this dining experience completely changed my perspective. My husband brought me here, and though I was hesitant at first, I ended up thoroughly enjoying every dish. The meal began with an incredible chawanmushi, possibly the best Iโ€™ve ever had, thanks to the generous amount of crab that made it exceptionally flavorful and satisfying.

The sushi platters that followed were a true highlight. Even though raw fish isnโ€™t usually my preference, the freshness and tenderness of the sashimi won me over. The fatty tuna, in particular, was rich, while the white fish had a subtle, clean flavor that I surprisingly enjoyed. The creamy, bold uni (sea urchin) was a standout and a completely new experience for me.

On top of the delicious food, the service from the restaurant manager, Vincent, was excellent, making the experience even more memorable. With such a great mix of flavors, textures, and attentive service, Iโ€™ll definitely be coming back!

After hearing so much about Miraku, I finally had the chance to visit, and the omakase experience was nothing short of spectacular.

Was served with a wide variety of fresh fish, with each piece meticulously crafted to showcase the unique flavors and textures. From the delicate Aodai and chutoro to the rich, flame-torched herring, every bite was a delight. The creamy otoro and briny murasaki uni were standout favorites, melting effortlessly on the palate.

The tasty mini maze don, featuring tuna belly and salmon roe, was accompanied by a comforting bowl of warm white miso soup, adding a cozy finish to the savory courses.

To end the meal, the refreshing and light homemade lychee ice cream served as the perfect finale, beautifully complemented by a calming cup of hojicha tea.
