Tried their salmon chirashi don with buckwheat soba. Portion was generous and was so filling. Their sides were amazing too! Really loved their Tsukune Chick with potato. That was probably the star of the meal for me.
Had dinner at Salmon Warrior Paya Lebar. The Tsukune Chick with Potato was the highlight, soft yet dense, and the sauces were good. Teriyaki Salmon Udon was a bit mild for my taste, so i added some soy sauce and chilli powder for slightly more flavour.
Food was affordable and the sauces on top of the food was the best.
Wrapped up the meal with a few well-loved classics that always deliver. The grilled black cod teriyaki was sweet, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. Miso soup came soothing and light, keeping things grounded between bites. A crisp wedge of muskmelon followed, cool and refreshing, the kind of dessert that doesnβt try too hard but still feels luxe. And of course, the uni add-on β this time, it was Murasaki uni, paler in hue with a gentle, mellow sweetness. A softer note compared to the Bafun uni Iβd had previously, which leaned rich, orange, sweet, and briny.
Tried the limited-time Hidden Flame Omakase ($128++ for 2 Pax) at Standing Sushi Bar and it was pure umami indulgence from start to finish. The 9-piece aburi sushi lineup delivered smoky flair with restraint β each piece lightly torched to unlock depth while letting the fishβs character shine.
The grilled course brought satisfying char, miso soup and dessert wrapped things up with gentle sweetness.
Hereβs how the sushi lineup played out:
1. Shima Aji + Sea Salt & Lemon
Firm, clean, with a zesty punch
2. Kinmedai + Vinegar Jelly
Delicate flesh with tangy jelly
3. Hamachi + Yuzu Miso
Smoky-sweet and ultra smooth
4. Shio Maguro
Lean and meaty
5. Hotate + Mentai
Charred scallop blanketed in creamy richness
6. Madai + Yuzu Zest
Citrusy lift over tender flesh
7. Aka Ebi + Miso
Juicy bounce and mellow umami
8. Chutoro + Yuzu Pepper
Velvety with a slow-burning spark
9. Otoro + Radish & Ponzu
Lush and buttery finish, brightened by crisp radish zing
really enjoyed the warrior beef don! the beef was tender and flavourful. tamago and yakitori came with the 3 sauces which were very special - mentaiko, mala mentaiko and garlic mayo!
Visiting @endining_sg again to try the shabu-shabu from the All-You-Can-Eat Japanese Buffet!
As you might already know, this buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, especially shabu shabu and niche Okinawan delights rarely seen in other Japanese buffets across Singapore.
Previously, I recommended the Beef Steak, Rafute, Beef Carpaccio, Scallop Mentaiko Yaki, and Ice Cream. But this time? Forget all that. Just focus on the shabu shabu. Order one set of Assorted Shabu Shabu Vegetables and as many plates of Beef Shabu Shabu (100g) as you can eat. You wonβt regret it and youβll definitely cover the cost of the buffet. π
The beef is of good quality, with beautiful natural marbling. Just grab the whole plate, dump it into the dashi soup, cook for 7β12 seconds, then plate and eat. No sauces needed, the natural sweetness and meatiness shine through, and the soup essence coats your tongue with juicy flavour. If they offered raw egg, itβd be perfect. I tried the Pork Shabu Shabu too, but the taste was only mid. The vegetables help add sweetness to the savoury soup.
Glad to report the oysters were fresher, juicier, and brinier this time. Scallops didnβt quite hit the mark. Sashimi was fresher than last visit, but Beef Steak declined a little.
Keep track of your orders, they tend to bring wrong items or extras you didnβt ask for. And donβt forget to spam the ice cream after your meal.
