Came by Tan Ser Seng for dinner and was surprised by how crowded it was despite their location. Ordered their Cordyceps Chicken Soup, and Ginseng Black Chicken Soup. The soups were both extremely tasty and rich. You could tell by the thickness and umami that they boiled these for a long time. The chicken in the soup was super soft as well- it falls right off the bone. This might be one of the best herbal soups we've had. Ordered some sides to go with our meal, and they were so well made too. Particularly loved their fried prawn rolls. Will definitely return here for a dose of hearty soup for the soul.
Service staff were all extremely polite and provided great service! We started with their fried pork skin- airy and fluffy, paired with great condiments. We moved on to the mains, which included their premium grass fed ribeye for me and Gooralie pork chop for my partner, accompanied with their roasted honey saffron cauliflower. Their ribeye was succulent and tender, and loved that they came with a side of garlic! The pork chop was extremely soft and moist. It went perfectly with the whisky mustard. We topped it off with their tiramisu, and it was likely one of the best tiramisu we had! Looking forward to trying their 25 day dry-aged Meadesmoore cut on my next visit!
They had a great authentic handmade dimsum. We really loved their fried beancurd skin with prawn dumpling and baked honey bbq chicken bun. Their soupy pao fan would really hit the spot for cold weather. Flavourful and full of ingredients. Har gao and siew mai were great, but the fried bean curd skin with prawn really stole the show for us. The fried bean curd skin was crispy and fluffy and the prawn was succulent and fresh. Their baked honey bbq chicken bun had an amazingly soft and crumbly crust. Would definitely recommend!
We ordered their ribeye and marinated pork ribs for the grill, and an omelette fried rice and cheese potato jeon. Their marinated pork ribs was amazing. The meat was tender and and tasty! This was one of the best kbbq pork we've tried. The cheese potato jeon was rich, but such a comfort food to have. Have it while its hot and you'll get a cheese pull out of it. It was nice to sit at the counter to enjoy our meal while their stafff assisted in grilling the meats.
Love the restaurant's ambience. Their staff were also extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and food we ordered. We had their sourdough with fermented butter for starters, along with oysters, and hokkaido scallops. Aboslutely love the scallops with the dressing. The picanha beef was absolutely amazing. Super fragrant from the firewood and very tender. Their iberico is probably the best pork we have had. Went perfectly with their homemade Marsala wine sauce! Everything washed down with a refreshing home- made ginger lemon spritz. The whole experience was wonderful and we would definitely recommend coming here.
Tried their salmon chirashi don with buckwheat soba. Portion was generous and was so filling. Their sides were amazing too! Really loved their Tsukune Chick with potato. That was probably the star of the meal for me.
Their staff were super friendly and helpful, introducing us to their recommended menu items. We got the dough balls, chicken wings, and shared a Spicy Lemon Chicken Linguine as well as a Calabrese pizza. The pizza was recommended by their staff and although spicy, was delicious. The crust was thin and crispy. One of the few pizza crusts we actually enjoyed.
The location was slightly inaccessible but worth the trip. Ambience was nice and cozy, slightly dim lights, and very polite staff. The food were served surprisingly fast. Their Live Australian Lobster Poached Rice was absolutely amazing. The lobster was fresh and succulent, and the soup was so umami! Worth the trip down.
Had their grass fed ribeye- the meat quality was quite good and not seasoned with too much salt. Fries were well made and very crispy! Ordered the garlic prawns with hummus to share. The prawns were succulent and fresh, garlic was not too overpowering. Their cheese cake tasted very fresh, but the passionfruit coulis was a tinge too sour.
Ordered the black garlic ribeye steak and its was super tender. I was recommended the cocktail "A Decade in Time" the presentation was out of this world. The cocktail was sweet and sour and it was delicious. Chris was an amazing help, explaining the cocktails to us and making sure we were well taken care of. Wonderful job! Would definitely return.
This has got to be one of the most unique prawn noodles I had! Packed full of pork slices, and being served in a claypot really changed the texture of the noodles- it was a refreshing experience.
Ordered the double bacon smash burger and it was amazing. The patties were cooked just right, bun was soft and tasty, bacon was crispy, and the greens paired really well overall. Will definitely return.
