Stars of the show 🌟🌟🌟
Youbu style egg cake pancake - crispy and fragrant, generous with their liao, delicious!

Their signature chicken and pork soup 10/10 hits the spot 🔥 flavorful and wholesome!

Shaoxing steamed soup dumplings was alright
Shredded pork mixed Noodles was mid

Traditional Style Double Boiled Pear with White Fungus - wasn't too sweet, generous with their ingredients

Guava and peach and lime roselle drinks were a tad bit too sweet

the chicken soup was the star of the show, it was really flavourful and unique. we tried some other handmade dishes as well like the egg pancake and the soup dumplings, and we loved the boiled pear with white fungus for dessert as well. all in all delicious food you wont find anywhere else in sg!

we visited on a weekday night and the placed was packed.

we tried grandma’s secret dishes (medium) and we found the soup unique and not greasy, and its aroma was rich and comforting.

the shredded pork mixed noodles was nice and filling, the youbu style egg cake was packed with meat and also not too salty, and it was a great appetiser.

the steamed dumplings felt freshly made, and the portion of the drinks they gave is really generous.

this experience felt like we were having authentic jiangnan cuisine, and we would be back again for the soup!

The portions were surprisingly generous! honestly enough for 2 pax to share comfortably.

Taste wise, I feel that their signature soup was the most tasty, with lots of filling as well. The boiled pear and white fungus was quite comforting when served warm, and was surprisingly filled to the brim with ingredients. But what really surprised me was the lime roselle tea. It was not only refreshing, but I also appreciate the fact that they used actual roselle and lime instead of just flavouring, which made the drink so much better!

I saw other table ordered some veggie dishes and soup, and I think I will order that for my next visit when I'm nearby as it looks really yummy!

Taste wise, I feel that the soup was the highlight of the meal.

Finally checked out Nai Nai Flavor (椿花奶奶) and wow, the 奶奶传承神仙鸡 (Grandma's Secret Dishes) really lived up to its name. The chicken was so tender it practically fell apart, and that soup — deep, rich umami that just hits you wave after wave. The kind of broth that makes you slow down and savour every spoonful. Presentation was a nice touch too; you eat with your eyes first, right?

The 游埠鸡子粿 (Youbu Style Egg Cake) was a pleasant surprise — crispy on the outside with this gorgeous blend of meat and spring onion inside. Every bite had that satisfying crunch followed by a burst of savoury goodness. We also got the 扬州炒饭 which honestly was the perfect way to round things off — lighter on the salt, so after all that umami it felt like a nice palate reset that still filled you up just right.

Washed everything down with the 芭乐水蜜桃 (Guava & Peach) — refreshing, not cloyingly sweet, exactly what you want after a hearty meal. Solid experience all around, definitely one I'd come back for. 🍲

Nai Nai Flavor brings popular Hangzhou comfort food to the East. The spread I had was visually stunning and incredibly satisfying. The savoury items included Old Shaoxing Steamed Soup Dumplings 老绍兴蒸汤包 and a brilliantly crispy, deep-fried Youbu Style Egg Cake 游埠鸡子粿. Also enjoyed some crisp golden Brown Sugar Glutinous Rice Cake 红糖滋粑 accompanied by refreshing Guava & Peach Drink 芭乐水蜜桃. The star of the meal for me was the soul-warming Grandma’s Secret Dishes 奶奶传承神仙鸡. Wrapped up the meal with a beautifully presented glass teapot of sweet Traditional Style Double Boiled Pear with White Fungus 古法银耳吊梨汤, which was a light and soothing finish. A perfect spot for a comforting meal!

Can’t believe I am raving about soup! But I am! The soup is delicious, service and ambience is also great. Came around 3-5PM on a weekday, and it is quiet and good for conversations.

Soup was really good and not too greasy, flavourful and chicken inside was tender. Very photogenic, tastes as good as it looks.

For those whom frequent East Coast Road at the side where Beach Road Prawn Noodle House is situated at, perhaps one would have noticed the new addition of Tiap Tiap along the same stretch of shophouses that houses establishments such as the outlet of Breakfast Grill and the outlet of Feng Sheng Kampong Chicken Rice & Steamboat there. Tiap Tiap might be a new establishment in the area; with that being said, these folks had been operating as an online-based business for six years prior to the opening of this brick-and-mortar store — the same folks also runs the private dining experience named The Butterfly Table that had also previously done collaborations with Cygnet by Sean Connolly at QT Singapore as part of the Singapore Food Festival. Tiap Tiap has also previously had pop-up stints at Takashimaya Food Hall — currently in its soft launch stage, Tiap Tiap does offer a curated line-up of their offerings in-store; there are limited dine-in seats here where patrons can enjoy sliced chiffon cakes and cream cakes and pair them up with beverages in store. Apart from cakes, Tiap Tiap also retails whole tarts, as well as bottles of Kaya and Sambal, Muah Chee and tubs of Keropok in the store currently as well.

One of Tiap Tiap’s most notable offerings would be that of their Ondeh Ondeh Cake — despite not being listed on the menu to be available in sliced format, one can check in with them at the counter to see if there are any slices of the Ondeh Ondeh Cake available. Though not being mentioned in the menu, the online ordering platform at Tiap Tiap’s website does mention that the Ondeh Ondeh Cake comes with whipped cream, grated coconut and Pandan — all that whilst replicating the Peranakan dessert in cake format. We did originally expect the cake to be a bit heavy to have considering our previous experiences with other iterations of Ondeh Ondeh Cake elsewhere; that being said, it does seem that the folks at Tiap Tiap uses their Pandan Chiffon Cake as the cake to form base of the Ondeh Ondeh Cake — the cake layer is light, fluffy and springy; all that whilst wafting of a Pandan fragrance that perfumes the taste bud. The fresh whipped cream also does carry a light texture which was consistent with that of the chiffon cake, making the cake especially easy to have whilst binding all of the elements of the cake together; the Gula Melaka-infused grated coconut adding a light hint of earthy sweetness that replicates the flavours of a typical Ondeh Ondeh without being overly sweet. Definitely a cake that would go well to be paired with a cup of coffee or tea on the side for a dainty afternoon tea break!

Tried the authentic and unique Hangzhou dishes here - The Youbu style egg cake (filled with meat and chives) had a satisfying bite. Dumplings had a nice chewy skin and went perfectly with a mix from the self-serve sauce station (vinegar, soya sauce, chilli oil). Also liked the double boiled pear with white fungus soup and lime roselle tea—light, refreshing and a nice way to end the meal.

Nai Nai Flavour is a lovely spot for comforting Hangzhou-style food that feels homely, authentic and different from the usual Chinese restaurants in Singapore. The dishes tasted fresh, handmade and not too greasy, which made the whole meal very enjoyable.

We tried the Grandma’s Secret Dishes, a chicken and pork soup that was rich, hearty and comforting. The Shrimp Fried Rice was fragrant, well-fried and had a nice wok hei flavour. The Old Shaoxing Steamed Soup Dumplings were warm and satisfying, with a comforting soup filling. For dessert, the Brown Sugar Glutinous Rice Cake was soft, chewy and lightly sweet, making it a nice ending to the meal.

The Lime Roselle Tea was refreshing and helped balance the richer dishes. Overall, Nai Nai Flavour is worth visiting if you want authentic Hangzhou dishes that are hearty, unique and rarely seen in Singapore.
