Finally had the chance to have dinner with my partner at Ingleside. From the start, the service was fantastic. We were offered a cold towel – much-appreciated in Singapore’s heat and the staff were attentive and friendly, explaining the menu, and our orders, without ever being intrusive.
For starters, we had the sourdough bread. It was decent, nothing too special but the real star was the fermented miso butter. Salty, slightly sour, full of complex umami flavours, it elevated the dish and paired beautifully with the bread.
We also had the Hokkaido scallop. The lacto-fermented tomato dressing and pickled green apples brought a refreshing acidity that perfectly balanced and enhanced the scallop’s natural sweetness and freshness – a great way to whet the appetite.
Then came the 14-day dry-aged Iberico Chuletero, which honestly really really surprised me. The meat had a deep, earthy nuttiness, and the pairing with Marsala sauce, potato skin, and onion purée went so well together. It had a nice comforting homely feel, but yet elevated to fine dining standards with it complex flavours.
But the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Wagyu Picanha. Marinated in shio koji and cooked to a perfect medium rare. This dish was special. The marinade gave it a slightly sweet, salty, earthy, floral flavour and so much more that’s hard to put into words. It was so complex, unique, and simply delicious. You just have to try it to understand.
Verdict:
If you love bold, and unique flavours with fermented elements, Ingleside is a must-try at least once. A truly special dining experience.
Dinner at Ingleside was a lovely experience!
We started with fresh sourdough bread served with fermented miso butter. The butter was rich and full of umami, pairing perfectly with the soft, warm bread—an excellent start that set high expectations for the rest of the meal.
For starters, we had the Hokkaido scallops, which turned out to be one of my favourites. Cured in kombu and topped with finger lime and a lacto-fermented tomato dressing, it was bright and so refreshing!
Then came the mains: the Tajima Wagyu Picanha and the Lampiño Ibérico Chuletero. My partner and I especially loved the shio koji marinade on the Picanha. It made the beef incredibly tender with a subtle sweetness. Paired with banana shallots and a touch of salt, the sweet and savoury flavours melded beautifully in every bite.
That said, the star of the night for me had to be the Ibérico pork. Dry-aged and topped with a marsala sauce, the dish exceeded expectations. The balance of flavours was unexpectedly perfect, and the marsala sauce truly won me over.
Service throughout the night was fantastic. Though we sat at the bar counter, the staff were thoughtful—giving us space to enjoy the evening while knowing just when to step in to explain each dish.
I really appreciated how Ingleside showcases fermentation, dry aging, and woodfire techniques without being over the top. Every dish felt intentional and well-executed. I’d love to come back to try more of what they have to offer :)
Good place for a date night out! Service was really attentive and each dish was introduced with much care. There were many standouts - the fresh tuna tartare was paired nicely with a house-made shoyu, smoked kingfish was sweet and fresh, the confit pork cheek was succulent and tasty, and the duck breast was charred beautifully with a melt-in-your-mouth texture from the dry ageing. The sweet and tart deconstructed lemon meringue tart was also a refreshing and good ending to the meal (:
Had a wonderful dinner at Meadesmoore. The food was simply exceptional, their wagyu steak was definitely the star of the show. It was cooked to perfection, super flavorful. On top of that, i really enjoyed the broccolini and dessert also! Ambience was amazing as well, very cozy, i really enjoyed it. To top it off, the staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!
Went with my partner on a lovely weekday evening. Was looking around for a restaurant to satisfy my steak cravings.
Restaurant had a lovely ambience with dark settings
The Chicharones were super crispy and good. Not too oily despite the crunchiness. Next, we had the Broccolini, Lamb Rack and Ribeye. Boy, we were amazed with the portion of the meats. The lamb racks and Ribeyes were so well seasoned, and the meat was so tender.
If yall read my past reviews, yall will know that I am a lover of Ribeyes and Steak. I must say this is one of the best Ribeyes I ever had.
We ended the meal with the Pavlova Flotante, lovely dessert bursting with fruit flavours. Pavlova was decently sweet too.
Would totally return back in near future. Absolutely adore it.
i had the lunch set at $58 per pax, and it was so delicious! the ambiance is fire and it is perfect for a date. my partner and i decided to order both lunch options so we could share, and we were not disappointed! the smoked hungarian duck leg was fall of the bone tender, which was a delightful surprise. and even the dessert was impressive, not overly sweet and just right, especially when paired with the coconut foam, which is something unique to ingleside as we have not seen it elsewhere. overall, it is a great lunch experience at ingleside! will definitely come back again!
The bone marrow was rich and flavourful, and the washugyu usda super prime ribeye was perfectly done and seasoned, along with a decadent mac and cheese. Topped off with a fresh tiramisu that was light and so satisfying!
Had an incredible meal at Ingleside (Tras Street) — every item hit the mark. The miso butter sourdough was rich, savoury, and addictive, with perfectly chewy bread and umami-packed butter. The fermented lemon ginger drink was a refreshing, tangy palate cleanser that felt like a light kombucha. Both the dry-aged steak and dry-aged Iberico pork were standouts — deeply flavourful, tender, and expertly cooked, with the pork being surprisingly rich and juicy. Subtle, well-executed dishes that show serious technique without trying too hard.
Incredibly well balanced. Every component pairs really well with each other
An awesome rendition of the typical pincanha. Super flavourful when paired with the shio koji which they fermented in house!
Atmosphere was a key factor during dinner, paired with great service and unique dishes, I recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate special occasions or just having a memorable night. The waiter has also recommended me to try their wine and it did not upset.
This place came highly recommended — and it delivered! The smoked split pea butter with sourdough was rich and addictive, and both the Iberico pork and Wagyu picanha were incredibly tender and flavourful, showcasing their expert dry-ageing technique. The lemon ginger spritz was light and refreshing. Definitely a great spot for special occasions and we’ll definitely be back for more :)
