I love this version coz it izt fried & oily like the usual oyster omelette , n the portions of oysters 😍 value for money

Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong is no stranger for serving up one of the freshest seafood known. But trying it for myself was a whole new experience. I’m really not a fan of mussels, but I’ve never tasted mussels to plump, fresh, and tender. Perfectly cooked, it did not have too rubbery a chew. The curry was also a game changer. Spicy, creamy and so well balanced, I didn’t even know that I needed this combination. What more complemented with that deep fried mantou which everyone loves. Highly highly recommend!!

It’s been overused by I gotta say it’s a hidden gem . We had the beef short rib becoz their signature brisket is out . Amazing meat n the sauces were equally great . The fries n roasted vegetables were amazing too . It’s a great place for good meats n craft beers .

Tender, well-braised cuts of duck, pork belly, tau kwa, tau pok and braised egg, all soaked in a smooth, lighter-textured braising sauce with mild herbal notes. The meats are moist and flavourful, each bite offering a satisfying balance of richness and delicate seasoning. Their garlic vinegar chilli packs a punch β€” spicy, tangy, and seriously addictive!

Huge portion of juicy chicken . Drinks are very nice

There has been quite a number of new items that have been introduced in the menu of the favourite place of the late β€” whilst we had written about their new Scallion & Cream Cheese Filled Donut which also happens to be the only savoury donut option that they have to offer, Brawn & Brains Coffee has also released number of new dishes at its Hamilton Road outlet such as that of two quiche items and the Crispy Golden Onion Rings in the Sides | Salad | Soup section of the menu.

Noting how the Crispy Golden Onion Rings is a new offering on the menu at Brawn & Brains Coffee, it was needless to say that we had to give the item a go. The portion of Crispy Golden Onion Rings does seem to be manageable even as a side dish for one pax β€” apart from the deep-fried onion rings, it also comes with an accompanying dip on the side. The Crispy Golden Onion Rings works especially well as a light snack given how their onion rings only comes with a very light batter on the exterior; one that is not only crisp and not too greasy, but also complimented the thin onion rings very well β€” not in any way jelak. It also does come with a slight sprinkle of paprika powder that gives it a very light hint of spice, though the accompanying sriracha mayo-esquire dip does match well with the Crispy Golden Onion Rings being all creamy and tangy with a slight kick of spiciness that should be pretty manageable even for those whom have a low tolerance of spiciness. Something which we would find ourselves ordering of craving for something savoury to pair with our cuppa here without the carbs!

Plum Soda ($5)
Strong, fizzy, and citrusy!

Ice Lemongrass ($3)
Smooth, lightly sweet and pleasant!

A bit underwhelming, not shiok enough! The portion was okay, but the cockles were too small to truly enjoy. The unique Thai flavours were there, and the spiciness was mild. Mehhh…

Glass noodles soaked up the savoury soy and oyster sauce beautifully, making them super flavourful. Ginger and coriander roots add that authentic Thai touch. Served with sliced button mushrooms and five easy-to-deshell prawns. No need for rice as this dish alone will fill you up.

Pretty well executed! A big, fresh fish, sliced and neatly laid on a fish-shaped pan with heat below. It’s then poured over with a savoury stock, further cooking the fish and infusing it with flavour. The addition of manao gives it a refreshing citrusy tang. The soup was rich, sweet, spicy, sourish, and umami, hitting that perfect Thai balance of flavours. The fish was soft, delicate, and fresh, we really enjoyed this one.

Not the best looking dish, but definitely the best tasting one! A classic must-order when in Thailand. Briny, chewy, chunky crab meat infused with aromatic, smooth, custardy eggy curry sauce. The more you eat, the more addictive it gets. The spiciness is toned down to suit local taste buds. A must-get, as this dish is quite rare in Singapore. Probably the only place that serves it, let me know if you find others!
