Stepping into this place felt like traveling back to the early 90s—a nostalgic, old-school vibe that’s hard to find these days.

The food was delicious and lived up to the atmosphere. The hor fun was excellent, with fresh seafood, strong wok hei, and a flavorful gravy.

The Hainanese pork chop was another highlight—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served in sweet & sour sauce which tasted very ketchup-y

The milkshakes, however, were nothing special—very old-school, basically made with walls brand ice cream blended with milk.

For those driving, there’s adequate parking available, though the place itself is quite secluded.

A charming spot for a trip down memory lane and a satisfying meal!

The food is not creative but well-executed. The atmosphere is relaxed, Tiong Bahru style. Service is polite, but completely not pro -active; you have to ask for everything, and only comes in tiny quantities, requiring you to ask again. It’s overpriced, so definitely not worth it.

This charming café serves up brunch delights inspired by both Eastern and Western cuisines, free from MSG and added preservatives. The wife opted for her go-to brunch favorite, the Smashed Avocado Toast topped with a perfectly sous vide egg—a staple she rarely skips.

I went for something unexpected: an Asian Fusion Bowl featuring tender Grilled Boneless Chicken with flavorful Balinese Salsa, served on a bed of fragrant Japanese rice. A delightful mix of comfort and creativity!

Been to their sister outlet, Chico Loco at Telok Ayer, many times and was feeling like some Mexican so we decided to pop by and try the outlet at Robertson Quay!

Started off with the Roasted Cauliflower ($9) and can I just say that the cauliflower was so nutty and delicious - truly my fave when it's cooked well like this! The cashew crema and Taji spice also lent it a sourish heat that paired so nicely. Also had the Braised Black Beans ($8) as my friend wanted to try but I can't comment much about it as beans aren't exactly my first choice of fillings at Guzman/Stuff'd. The Crispy Potatoes ($10) were served well-crisped and piping hot, just perfect! For some greens, we chose the Loco Salad with Grilled Chicken ($16 + $5) which was satisfying but I wish they gave more of the veges for this price. We loved the Baja Fish Tacos ($11/pc) - although not the price - with a winning combi of thick and crisp barramundi fillet together with chilli mango salsa and cabbage. Lastly, we got the Chicken Quesadilla ($18) but this was quite lacklustre in terms of flavours and portion. Missed the happy hour but we still got the Prickly Pear Frozen Margarita ($19/glass) and the Watermelon basil Cooler ($9) - pretty overpriced and I was disappointed that the margarita did not come with salt!

Overall, a pretty vibey place for good food, good mood, and good booze, although be prepared to pay a pretty penny! In total, the four of us paid about $140 for the meal.

Given the price 1 for 1 it is definitely worth to give it a tey

Nestled amid lush greenery, @wildseedsg Wildseed Café’s 1-Flowerhill location offers a peaceful al fresco setting that’s perfect for unwinding. The natural surroundings add a refreshing escape, setting the scene for a relaxing afternoon high tea.

The high tea set itself was a nice balance of local flavors and sweet indulgences. For savory bites, the Mushroom Tartlet was delightfully earthy, the Satay Chicken Croissant had a light touch of spice, and the Chili Crab Kueh Pie Tee added an adventurous flair with its classic Singaporean flavors.

As for the sweets, each item brought its own unique character. The White Chocolate Crémeux paired beautifully with a tart raspberry compote, while the Buttery Scone had an irresistible crumb, enhanced by zesty lemon curd and airy honey-whipped butter. The Blueberry Almond Tart featured creamy mascarpone, and the Peach & Lychee Vanilla Cake felt light and summery. The Salted Caramel Macaron added a sweet-salty crunch, but my favorite of the day had to be the Strawberry Shortcake! Its layers were light, fruity, and just the right amount of sweet to leave a lasting impression.

All in all, Wildseed Café’s high tea set is a lovely treat if you’re looking for a relaxing escape with nature-inspired vibes and a unique mix of flavors. Whether you’re in for a chat with friends or a quiet solo afternoon, it’s definitely worth a visit!
