Love the melted cheese which brings the whole dish up a notch! Generous portion of mushroom slices given as well as long beansprouts & corn. Served with multigrain rice, kimchi & drink for the set. Gochujang sauce was served on the side to pour in & mix according to how savoury u like. Didn't pour everything & it's great for me already 😋
Delicious hotpot spot at CHIJMES with great value lunch sets. Broths are simmered for 8 hours—rich, clean, and flavourful. Loved the mushroom variety flown in from Yunnan and the handmade noodles with no additives. Don’t miss the crispy mozzarella cheese ball and house drinks. Bonus: they sell fresh Yunnan flowers daily. A relaxing, quality lunch experience!
Saw this store featured in the tiktok of a Japanese lady living in Singapore, and fortunately I also discovered that it is one of Burpple's merchants as well!
They offer a wide range of sobas in both hot and cold varieties, as well as rice bowls, sides, and even drinks. Everything looked so good, especially the current monthly special (oyster soba!), and we finally settled on the Collagen Chicken Soba (Hot) and Yuzu-Miso Chicken Soba (Cold). The collagen chicken soup was light-tasting and yet still full of flavour, with generous slices of chicken breast. The minced ginger also gave the broth a certain 'spiciness', and I would liken the dish to be a soupy version of chicken rice. This was good, but we very much preferred the yuzu-miso chicken soba - the coldness of the broth brought out the citrusy-savoury flavours so much more, with the crisp doumiao lending some freshness and the perfectly grilled chicken thighs rounding up the dish. Just amazing, we couldn't stop slurping this up.
Overall, service was prompt and friendly, and general ambience was bright and cheery. Prices are also pretty affordable considering the quality you get, but of course having the Burpple deal makes it all the more worth (our two bowls only came up to $18!). Would definitely return!
The soft serve has a strong milky (not vanilla) flavour and the cone has a malty taste. If you prefer milky flavours then this is something to try but if you are expecting vanilla flavours then I suggest Mcdonald's soft serve. It was decent but do not expect premium ice cream at such a price point 》$1.50
(Dry) (Regular) ($5.50) its not that bad but char siew was quite chewy and not that hard. The noodles texture was not that thin and chewy texture as its "al dente".
Halal Chinese cravings? 🥢 Head to 西北香 @restaurant_aisyah on Arab Street for an authentic taste of Xinjiang cuisine, especially their handmade specialty noodles. 🤤
We couldn’t get enough of the Tongue-Tingling Spicy Dry Beef Noodles🍜 — super chewy and packed with an irresistible spicy kick! 🌶️ Even better, #BurppleBeyond members can enjoy a 1-for-1 Noodles deal.

The beef short rib was delicious complemented by lovely sides
($47) my mum told me that the duck shrink in size :/ but the taste was quite remained the same in the past.
Places specialising in "local farmers' produce-driven Singaporean cuisine" is certainly not a new concept, but Rustica manages to be one of the better ones I've had (in my books, at least!). The ambience of the cafe is bright and welcoming, and the service staff were so warm, friendly, and enthusiastic.
On to the food, we started off with the Crab Bergedil ($11) and Cereal Fish Bun ($12). The bergedil was fragrant and presentation was adorable, but we felt that there could be a stronger punchiness in taste, either from the crab meat or from the spices. A crispier exterior would also be good. On the other hand, the fish bun was excellent - loved the huge slab of crusty snapper fillet, which paired wonderfully with the herby tartar and soft bun
For the mains, we shared the Roasted Chicken Crown with White Pepper Sauce ($21), Golden Fish Broth ($25), and the Kailan with Fried Garlic ($14). LOVED all three dishes, and I think a recurring comment we had was the depth of flavour in every one of them. The roasted chicken had smokiness, traditional aromas of ginger and scallion, freshness from the crown daisy, and layered with the delicious white pepper sauce (couldn't stop slurping it up!). The fish broth was also thick, milky, gingery, flavourful, and overall warm and comforting. The kailan was also a surprise hit - the veges were crisp and fresh, and one can never go wrong with fried garlic. The table also gets a pot of Local Herb Rice which by itself is savoury (from the fried shallots) but went well with all the dishes.
Washed the fantastic meal down with the SG Lager Beer ($10/btl) and Vanilla Cold Brew ($9). Seriously well-executed dishes, and we enjoyed the unique renditions of local dishes. Definitely recommended for everyone!
I knew it was gonna be good when I was hit with a strong aroma of cinnamon and tea leaves🫖 upon entering, and the both the teh tarik ($4.50) and matcha teh tarik ($5.50)🍵 indeed were! Idk if I'll return to satisfy my teh tarik cravings but if you're looking for novelty/quality this is the place🌿
