($12) I did tried their chicken ver before at taste orchard last year but then pork cutlet is new dish for menu. It's quite nt bad tbh given at coffee shop.
The ambience is a bit gloomy. Service is good, but the food is mediocre. We had kalbi, pork collar, kimchi beef stew, and seafood pancake. ALL are inferior to the Korean joints in Tanjong Pagar? Only convenient if you live in the Orchard Rd area and are too lazy to go far.

Came by as I was in the area and I saw that Chingu was on Entertainer. Ordered the Soft Tofu Stew w/ Seafood and Pork ($20) and the Doenjang Jjigae ($22). Doenjang jjigae was slightly too salty for our liking, but we really loved the tofu stew which was hearty and chockful of seafood, meat, and tofu. Don't forget to add on rice ($2) to mop up the delicious soup! They were also generous with the banchan, and though the kimchi was also excessively salty we loved the others. As with some of the other reviews, I found service to be slightly lacking as they also took some time to respond to our calls, and one of the waitress could only speak Chinese. Overall, we still had a great meal, and after the discount the total only came up to less than $30 which is so value-for money!

The tofu soup is pretty ok, japchae normal, steamed egg so-so, overall decent but not wow.
Pretty slow in serving (waited for ard 30min or so) despite not many customers.
Unlikely will come back again for lunch given the long wait and there are better Korean food out there.

Seafood Jjampong ($11.80) features chewy noodles in a flavourful spicy soup that is packed with seafood, onion and kimchi. The portion is very big and the taste is on point.
Kimchi Stew ($10.80) comes with pork belly, enoki mushroom, tofu and kimchi in a full-bodied broth that is spicy and tangy. This is so good with rice.
