📍Chin Chin Eating House (Purvis St)
The chicken is so on point, tender and juicy, chilli and ginger with dark soya sauce is a must, be mindful, the chilli is quite spicy, giving you the kick.
The hainanese chap chye and hotplate tofu are not bad, can order.
As for the cereal prawns, not bad as the prawns are quite plump but I wouldn’t say it is cereal prawns as I couldn’t really taste the cereal.
Overall, decent.
Damage: $71
Oh no…… I’ve officially entered food coma mode 😵💫 after hopping through 3 eateries in a row (yes, I went all out 😅) today. Because this — ultra-thin, super crispy toast with generous slabs of butter and kaya spread is absolute perfection. 🧈🍞 My heart is full and my tummy’s even fuller. ☺️ Sometimes, the best kind of day is the one that ends in a delicious daze. 😴✨

Fancy takeaway. I found it okay nia. Chilli's quite hot. I guess the soy sauce was fragrant but virtually every chicken rice is.
From MacKenzie Rex Restaurant
Nasi Ayam and Iced Teh O
Total $7.20
Not bad indeed
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅𝒔!
Tried the two most recommended 👍🏻 dishes from this beloved stall at Beauty World Food Centre — the soya sauce chicken and the comforting dumpling + wanton soup.
The chicken drumstick is meaty and tender with silky, well-marinated skin. And those dumplings and wantons are loaded with juicy prawns and seasoned minced meat — every bite is so hearty and satisfying. 😋

From Pin Sheng Chicken Rice
白切鸡尾饭
Worth the queue!
Its succulent, tender chicken with fluffy rice.
Simple yet delicious - definitely returning for more.
$6 for bigger portion.
This plate of chicken rice evokes a deep feeling of nostalgia as I recalled tagging along with my folk to the old Margaret Drive Hawker Centre to pack it home, back in the late-Eighties.✨
Picture tender meat with silky, succulent skin, doused in fragrant soy sauce and sesame oil. This stall holds a special place in my heart and the taste stayed with me through the years — It’s more than just a dish; it’s a treasured piece of my childhood, where I shared simple meals together with loved ones. ❤️

The rice and chilli sauce are not the best, but they have a long menu and everything is good, including the chicken. One of our favs for chicken rice in Singapore
烧肉 鸡饭
Enjoy a delicious meal of local boiled chicken and roast pork belly served over fluffy chicken rice, all for just $4.50 at an eastern side food centre!
Indeed satisfying!
This set is for Delivery only from their online website. It’s very substantial and balanced diet.
tbh i thought it was okay only...but the chilli packs a punch and i really like the soup!! had a strong chicken taste and wasn't salty at all
i liked that the chicken was moist but it was tasteless...and rice wasn't fragrant either. char siew, roast duck and achar not nice also. all charged at restaurant price really not worth😢
