tbh i thought it was okay only...but the chilli packs a punch and i really like the soup!! had a strong chicken taste and wasn't salty at all

i liked that the chicken was moist but it was tasteless...and rice wasn't fragrant either. char siew, roast duck and achar not nice also. all charged at restaurant price really not worth😱

It’s strange that the various outlets of this small chain don’t serve the same dishes. This one has an excellent peranakan fish head curry not offered elsewhere. Worth making a trip for it! No chicken feet, though.

One of better chicken rice joints in Singapore- tasty yellow chicken, even if the rice is not the most fragrant. Other dishes are also yummy. Great value.

The meal was absolutely delightful! The chicken was tender and packed with flavor in every bite. It’s definitely worth trying :))

If you're on the hunt for authentic and satisfying steamed chicken rice, Le Cheng is a must-visit. Tucked away in Tanjong Katong, this humble stall delivers a classic dish with a quality that speaks volumes about their dedication to tradition and flavor.

The steamed chicken was the highlight—succulent, tender, and perfectly cooked. The silky skin glistened with just the right amount of soy sauce and sesame oil, enhancing the natural flavor of the chicken. It was evident that freshness was a priority here.
The rice was fragrant and flavorful, cooked in chicken broth with subtle hints of garlic and ginger. Each grain was well-separated and had the perfect texture—neither too dry nor too oily.

The accompanying sauces were another standout. The tangy chili sauce packed a punch without overwhelming the palate, while the ginger paste was aromatic and rich, complementing the chicken beautifully. A light soy-based dipping sauce rounded out the trio, allowing for a customizable flavor experience.
What truly completed the meal was the warm, comforting bowl of clear chicken soup. It was simple yet flavorful, a testament to the skill and care in preparation.

With affordable prices and generous portions, Le Cheng proves that great food doesn’t have to break the bank. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this stall is a true gem for chicken rice enthusiasts.

homely and delicious kampong chicken! tender and also goes really well with the salty and slightly sweet sauce. the chicken rice was also one of the best i ever had, fragrant and not too dry at all

Had a hearty and comforting lunch here. Enjoyed the tender and fresh chicken and flavourful cai pou hor fun. Will definitely return!

visited le cheng hainanese chicken rice and it was one of the most fulfilling meals yet! my favourite would be the salted fish egg fried rice, it was so fragrant, and the salted fish taste was just right. second in place would be the sambal kangkong, my friend and i would not stop eating that. the hit of the sambal was strong and every bite of kangkong gave a nice crunch. white pepper chicken clay pot soup is a must have, the warm soup feels so nostalgic and comforting as it goes down your throat, giving u a slight kick of pepper every time. enjoy the soup with some tofu as well, we mixed it in with the soup and it was delicious. another must have is their signature kampung chicken, one of the best, most fragrant, chicken rice ive ever had, it’s not too salty either and the skin is so silky! enjoyed the meal with a jug of iced barley water. thank you to the kind staff for their service as well and i would recommend all to give this place a try!
