Particularly enjoyed the chicken rice with the charred rice — the brown bits added an extra depth of flavour compared to regular chicken rice. The portions for all dishes were generous, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a lovely café to relax and hang out with friends.

Came here for dinner with my partner. Price is a little on the higher side but food is definitely superb! Ambience is also great, perfect for a date night!

I got the fried squid, pork chop and double smash beef burger. Squid was definitely a must try! Super crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. Perfect for squid lovers. Pork chop was unique and a twist from a normal one. Should definitely give it a try!

A fresh take on traditional Hainanese cuisine, familiar flavors with clever little twists that keep things interesting.

I ordered the claypot chicken rice, and it was a delight! On its own, it’s a solid chicken rice, but the claypot adds that layer of crispy rice bits for extra texture. It also keeps the dish warm, which gives the chili sauce even more of a kick.

The fried squid tentacles were pretty good too, perfectly fried to be crisp on the outside and chewy (but not rubbery) on the inside. The portion was generous, making it a great dish for sharing among a group of four.

For dessert, the durian creme brulee is a must-try. They definitely don’t skimp on the durian. It’s rich, creamy, and wonderfully fragrant. The thin layer of caramelized sugar on top adds a satisfying crunch without overpowering the dessert with sweetness. A really satisfying way to wrap up the meal!

The meal was a bit pricey but I think its good to support the local culinary scene, especially one that experiments with traditional local food while making it so good too!

Tried a few dishes today and they were all hits! The Hainanese pork chop was perfectly deep-fried, crispy outside and tender inside. The double bacon smash burger came with juicy wagyu patties grilled to perfection, packed with flavour and smoky bacon goodness. And the squid tentacles were super crispy and crunchy that you can literally hear the crunch with every bite! The place has a great ambience to sit down, relax, and enjoy good food.

Each dish was a standout, showcasing flawless execution and balance of flavor. The Crispy Squid Tentacles were perfectly golden and paired beautifully with the tangy honey lime mayo. The Double Bacon Smash Burger was rich, juicy, and layered with textures and flavors that hit every craving. The Hainanese Pork Chop brought comforting nostalgia with its crispy cream cracker crust and flavorful Hainanese sauce. Overall, great and satisfying meal.

I enjoyed the pasta and also the fried ice cream with banana cake. The banana cake was so tender and the banana taste is fragrant. Located at katong, the vibes is ideal for dates.
