This well-known fried chicken chain should be very familiar to many of us, when they used to be at Bukit Timah; before moving their location to West Coast side under NEWest.
Was hosting a birthday party nearby so ordered their 9 pieces fried chicken bucket for guests to enjoy.
Definitely crunchy enough to enjoy the pieces of their fried chicken.
First meal of the year at my all-time favourite fast food restaurant [and it’s not a chain].
A simple and yummy start to the New Year! 🎉

Affordable price for the quality. I enjoyed the fried chicken which was crispy, nicely marinated, while the chicken thigh was tender and juicy. They also chopped the chicken into bite size pieces so that it would be easier to eat. The waffles were decent, with a crispy exterior and soft interior. With the SCS butter and maple syrup provided at the side, the waffle was fragrant and a good complement to the fried savory chicken. The waiting time was a while for ours, though I saw that other tables got their food pretty quickly.
A real walk down memory lane with this cafe. I have been meaning to dine here for some time but it’s opening hours are very short every day and huge crowds fill up its rather limited indoor dining area very quickly. Especially weekends.
So yesterday I came at 4.45pm, a full 15 mins before it’s listed opening hours in Google. To my surprise, it was already half filled with patrons with their half finished meals. Huh?
Anyway I ordered my 3 piece plate fried chicken. 15 mins later my piping hot fried chicken with coleslaw and mashed potatoes was served. The coleslaw was crunchy fresh, slightly sweet and tangy. The mashed potatoes came drizzled with a sauce that is lighter in colour compared with KFC’s. But the savoury and pepper taste is similar and goes well with the silky mashed potatoes.
The star of the dish was the fried chicken. You get a drum stick, a thigh part and a chicken wing. The exterior skin were ultra crispy and the meat is impossibly juicy and tender. Much much better than KFC and this must be one of the best fried chicken in Singapore today. Coupled with chilli sauce, I polished off the plate in no time. At this moment, I was beginning to dread the moment when I will finish my fried chicken.
Yes yes it is not the most healthy food choice out there with the salt, the fats and calories. But if you can only have one sinful meal a week, I strongly recommend that you go for this.
While their Belgian Waffles are one of the must-order, I had 2 scoops of ice cream, Raspberry and Cookies & Cream on it. The elegant piped fresh cream on the ice cream and waffle had completed our meal.
I'm glad that Waffletown make a comeback for all their supporters as we really miss such nostalgic taste from their fried chicken. However, due to a shortage of manpower, they will be opening from 5pm to 9pm except Monday till further notice.
Good for a cheap and light dessert! The waffles were crispy and buttery, texture and taste were great! The ice cream flavours I got was rum and raisin and cookies and cream! I enjoyed the cookies and cream flavor which had lots of cookies in it! I didn’t fancy the rum and raisin but my friend enjoyed it! Would return if I am nearby for dinner and craving a sweet treat!
