Tanuki Raw has recently launched their new Blue Burger, exclusively available at their National Design Centre outlet. This burger includes a 250g hand-chopped premium wagyu beef short rib tartare patty that’s lightly seared and seasoned with Tanuki Raw's sianature spice blend, sandwiched between soft and fluffy slow-roasted Yaki Imo Milk Bread, and topped with house pickles and Emmental cheese. If you like your beef on the rarer side, this is definitely the burger for you! It is also served together with a side of Mentai Cheese Waffle Fries that are crispy and savoury! The Blue Burger is available from now till 31 Dec 2022, via pre-order on their website with a 10 days notice.

Tuna, salmon, hamachi, snow crab, spicy negitoro, ikura, tamago and house-made pickles over steamed rice, seasoned with special blend of furikake and tare. Sashimi was very fresh and portion was just right.

Recommended on the menu: Pan-seared foie gras, US black angus short rib, onsen egg, truffle soy, black garlic brown butter over Tanuki Raw’s signature rice.

It isn’t my first time trying tanuki raw but somehow I think some of the component on the menu has changed from what I remembered.

I liked how thinly sliced the beef was and its tender, not chewy. Broke the onsen egg because I love runny yolk and I dipped the beef slices in it for extra yumminess 🍳 Foie gras however tasted a little off that day, plus too charred on the sides which was quite a waste as I was looking forward to that the most initially.

Good for a quite fix, especially if you can’t live without rice

Food was on the saltier side. Had the shohei Don, was so-so ... Maybe better off sticking to their beef bowls
