beautifully executed set dinner, i loved every dish but my will-come-back-fors are definitely the prawn toast, jumbo prawns, aged kingfish loin and the burnt toast icecream sandwich! can’t wait to come back to try the other dishes, the next table ordered a lobster pao fan (?) and it looked amazing too

Had dinner at One Prawn & Co at New Bahru and really enjoyed the experience. Sitting at the bar gave a bit of an omakase vibe, with the chef coming over to explain some of the dishes sometimes.

We tried the 8-course set and the highlights for me were the 16-day dry-aged kingfish (juicy, loved it with the green goddess sauce), the jumbo tiger prawns (sweet, smoky, and beautifully done with vermouth), and the prawn toast which was super crisp and savoury. Ended with the burnt toast ice cream sandwich, which was fun and surprisingly memorable.

Vibey spot that knows how to make seafood exciting without being over the top. Dinner kicked off with Ostra Regal oysters which were fresh, briny, and perfect with a squeeze of lime. The ankimo mousse was smooth and rich, a great contrast before diving into the crispy prawn toast with aioli which disappeared fast at the table. Even the veggies had personality, with okra dressed in togarashi and bonito adding a smoky, peppery kick.

The highlights were definitely the seafood mains. The octopus with assam pedas hummus was tender with just the right spice, while the dry-aged kingfish loin had incredible depth of flavor. But the star had to be the jumbo tiger prawns, juicy and elevated with sakura vermouth and burnt leek oil.

Dessert sealed the deal; a burnt toast ice cream sandwich with banana crumbs. Fun, clever, and the perfect ending coupled with top-class service! Will return again.

Amazing night at One Prawn & Co. I visited their previous outlet (before they moved) and the standard has only increased! Im not a person who usually likes seafood, but somehow these seafood are handled amazingly and they taste a cut above other seafoods i have tried. The non-seafood stuff is also amazing and I had a great time. I also saw how the staff interacted with one another and with chef gwen (who was there and cooked for my partner and i!), and i think there must be quite a good working environment for the staff. The staff were able to tease one another and play a little while working, even as the service standard remains impeccable. Excellent place for a night out.

Had an amazing night at One Prawn & Co. The food was really good and the seafood tasted fresher and better than many other places I’ve tried. Loved the 16 Days Dry-aged Kingfish Loin with Green Goddess, and the salmon tartare was tasty too. Staff were super friendly. Great place, great time!

Wanted to go for something unique with a fancy setting recently to treat myself and came across One Prawn & Co. I decided to try the The Holy Halibut! Signature Fish Burger which was something else. The buns are golden and buttery, with a crispy cheese layer that adds a nice crunch. The fish fillet is perfectly seasoned, with a golden crust that gives way to soft, flaky flesh. I'd definitely recommend it!
