Ordered the Ginseng Black Chicken Soup and Cordyceps Chicken Soup and I must say that both are super tasty and nutritious, the Ginseng Black Chicken Soup had a nutty taste to it so for nut flavoured lovers you should definitely give this soup a try, as for the Cordyceps Chicken Soup its got a herbal taste to it quite fragrant and rich in flavours for both soup and since we came on a rainy day the soup really hit the spot for me. Portion wise they are really generous with it.
Homemade ginseng chrysanthemum was refreshing.
The Jade Tofu dish was so good that until I left I still kept thinking about it. This dish is not too heavy for the stomach and it literally melts in your mouth it was soft and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside something pretty unique to me as I had never tried such combo of fried tofu with spinach before. Definitely recommend this dish!
Egg is tasty too not too salty perfect for my liking
Also at the end of our meal we were told to get our free ice cream (self service)
Overall for me personally I love the Jade Tofu side dish the most as well as both the Ginseng Black Chicken Soup and Cordyceps Chicken Soup. The service there was good and the staff were really friendly too!
Had the most flavourful soup i had ever tried here, ordered the cordyceps chicken soup and the black chicken soup along with a side of chai poh omelette and a cup of their ginseng chrysanthemum tea, their chicken was super tender, egg was delicious as well, will definitely come back
Ordered the ginseng black chicken soup as well as the cordyceps white chicken soup and personally prefer the white as it’s lighter tasting than the black which is more herbal tasting. Also had the aged preserved radish omelette which is a must order same goes to the ginseng chrysanthemum drink which was refreshing and had a hint of sweetness mixed with the chrysanthemum!
Had the ginseng black chicken soup with yam rice, along with crispy prawn roll and jade tofu for sides. The soup was rich and comforting, with a great balance of herbal flavor—not too strong, but still distinct. Generous portions of tender chicken made it even better. The yam rice was fragrant and paired beautifully with the soup.
The crispy prawn roll was my favorite—perfectly crunchy with a delicious mix of prawns and water chestnuts inside. The jade tofu had a satisfying crispy texture on the outside while staying soft inside.
Overall, a fantastic meal with great flavors. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!
Tan Ser Seng Herbs Restaurant really serves very delicious and nourishing soups. They are very generous with the ingredients.
We ordered cordyceps ginseng chicken soup, their signature Jade tofu, my favorite yam rice and handmade fresh prawn rolls. The soup tasted very fulfilling and the ingredients are so generous. My recommendation is the handmade fresh prawn rolls, the meat is sweet and delicious and alot of water chestnuts. It goes very well with the sweet sauce and sesame. The best thing is they have ice cream for dessert absolutely free !
I had the ginseng black chicken soup with yam rice. The broth is rich and chicken is tender. With aromatic ginseng taste, definitely worth a try. Most importantly the service staff are all very polite and nice. Will come again to try their other soups.
