Established since July 2015, this stall curiously draws long queues during meal times, despite their higher-than-usual premium pricing. This is partly due to their consistent high quality of execution, and large generous portions. They feature about 30 dishes or so on rotation, but don't expect any cheap cuts of meat here; it's usually all large gourmet cuts.
.
Their Steamed White Rice tends more towards moist and sticky, with grainy sweet flavour. The Stir-Fried Eggs With Tomato carry vegetal eggy sweet sour savoury flavour, and have a wispy soft juicy chew to texture. The Stir-Fried Spinach With Trio Eggs have a gentle soft crunch with vegetal salty sweet earthy herbal flavour. The King Pork Ribs are boneless and tender chewy, with robust meaty savoury sour sweet flavour.
.
The soft tender Stir-Fried Soy Eggplant has a vegetal earthy salty savoury sweet flavour. The crisp crunchy Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts And Carrots have a vegetal sweet earthy spice flavour. The tender wobbly soft Soy Braised Tofu With Minced Pork carries meaty grainy savoury salty sweet earthy flavour. The crunchy flaky Deep-Fried Turmeric Silver Whiting Fish has lovely fishy sweet savoury salty spice flavour, so yummy.

Diligently serving delicious plates 24 hours a day since the 1980s, their rendition is beloved for the springy al-dente rice vermicelli noodles with grainy sweet flavour, and the thin yet enticing gravy with sour zesty tangy sweet spice flavour.
.
The crisp garlic chives, spongy tofu puffs, crisp bean sprouts, and bouncy hard boiled chicken egg, lend vegetal herbal sweet grainy savoury eggy flavour.
.
Fresh lime is squeezed over for added kick, while crushed peanuts lend a firm crunch and nutty flavour.

Mee siam with bee hoon, tau pok, bean sprouts and hard-boiled egg in a tangy and sweet-spicy gravy. It is difficult to find mee siam with the right proportion of sweetness and sourness. Some people prefer it sweeter while some prefer it to be more sourish with that zing.

The mee siam here is on the sweeter side and it is overpowering the sourness a mee siam should have. I felt the gravy to be too watery/diluted 》$3

This was a disappointment. The noodles were overcooked and clumped all together, making it very sticky and difficult to separate them. No one likes overcooked and mushy noodles. The seasoning, char siew and wonton were alright. Just a very normal bowl of wanton noodles with noodles done wrong 》$3

There’s just something about this stall’s wanton mee (located at Hougang 401 KPT coffeeshop) that keeps me coming back for more! The combination of the springy noodles mixed with the sauce mix brings out a nostalgic old school taste that is just so appealing! They are open till late too, which makes it a good supper option!

My go-to old-school wanton mee. This wanton mee tastes like kindergarten lol. On some days it's very wet, this day it's this dry, but still good. Lard peppered throughout, passable char siew, and wantons with salted fish, which is how they should be. The comfort of their noodles also remind me of a bygone era where every stall cooks their noodles properly.
