Inclusive of 5-6 kinds of meat. Came with army stew as well. Sides such a tteokbokki, japchae, fries, fried chicken, kimchi and 1 - 2 others. Soft drinks were free flow
Meats although well seasoned, were tough and had a strong and unpleasant smell (especially the beef).
Would not visit here again as felt that money better spent at other BBQ joints such as Kcooks or Kim’s BBQ
Always a reliable option of Korean BBQ, with pretty decent sides and good mix of marinated and non-marinated meats. Only gripe was the smell (as usual), so imagine our surprise when we saw another Korean BBQ place (Daessiksin I think) upstairs, with those handy BBQ thingums that can suck the oily fumes :/ still Ssikkek was full house while the other was only half-filled
Very affordable KBBQ buffet! Meats are decent and well-marinated. Will return only if i'm in the area and craving some bbq meats. Will not travel down specifically for this.
Rating: 7.2/10
Will i return/recommend: Yes/Yes
Pros: Meats are of decent quality. Cooked food is yummy too! Could not stop eating the japchae noodles.
Cons: As expected, it will be noisy, crowded and greasy.
Price: S$24++ Adult buffet dinner
No I'm not kidding, today really is samgyeopsal (삼겹살) day in Korea. Why the 3rd of March you ask? Samgyeopsal translates to three-layered fat, and hence falls on the 3rd day of the 3rd month. I don't know about you, but it sure is a great excuse to grill up some slabs of tender and juicy pork bellies. And I'm glad I could do it with a dear friend at my fave Korean barbecue place here😋 #burpple
My favourite Korean BBQ place. Very spacious, good attentive service, and good quality food for the price paid. $24++ for a weekend dinner. Warning though, you will leave the place reeking of BBQ!
Whenever my family (or rather my father) have that craving for BBQ meat, this would be the one place we will head down. Located at United Square, Novena, this really cheap family-run (Koreans) restaurant have all the checkbox ticked. Simple setting of wooden table and chairs, with all the marinated meat, vegetables, cooked food, drinks and sauces locates specifically at a corner. Waiters hustled and bustled, Korean family walking around to show hospitality, I felt like I have just returned to Seoul having a blast of a time. And I truly do. Noisy, cafeteria dinning, wafted with strong and serious BBQ action going on, family dinners are meant for this! Their food are very legit, and everyone's hot favourite would be the fried chicken wings. Personally found their kimchi stew very yummy! And their kimchi are one of the better ones in Singapore!
