Had such a satisfying meal at Shukuu Izakaya and Bar! The hotate was incredibly fresh, and the combo of mentaiko + fish roe gave it a rich and savoury flavour.
The hot soba was warm and comforting, while the spicy salmon don had just the right kick without being overwhelming (great even if you can’t take much spice!).
Great quality for the price, lovely ambience, and attentive staff. Don’t skip their sake pairing too! It really elevates the meal.
shukuu has a nice ambience, be it for a date night or gathering with friends. personally enjoyed the scallop mentai and chirashi inari the most, it was flavourful and fresh. the hot soba was light on the palette and comforting to have. staffs were nice and attentive too, helped to adjust the aircon temperature.
Me and my sister came on a Saturday night 08/11/2025 and received swift service in between each drinks/food that we ordered and it all tasted great!
We got the Maguro Yukke, Tori Cabbage Tsuyu stew, Tempura Moriawase, Ika Kuro-Age, Rosti Mentai.
Definitely recommend the Ika Kuro-Age and getting the Sawanosuru Age Umeshu for a drink. The server is kind to let me have it on the rocks with a side of soda water so that I can experience two ways of enjoying the Umeshu.
Both of us loved the Tori Cabbage Tsuyu stew as well and it was a refreshing to drink the broth after every bite of something fried.
shukuu japanese izakaya and bar has a great ambience and delicious food. the staff were attentive in clearing the plates and refilling our water ⭐️
food-wise, the main highlights for me were the hotate mentaiyaki and gyu don. the scallops were tender, juicy and the mentai complemented it really well! even though the gyu don was a mini donburi, it was really filling and the beef slices were generous enough. 💯
Great food selections and Excellent service. If you are looking for a good Japanese restaurant, I would highly recommend this.
I love the vibe at this Izakaya. The menu variety is also quite expansive. The deep fried items were especially well-done. We ordered the Unagi Tempura from the seasonal menu, which was remarkably good!
