One prawn & co is the ultimate food heaven for seafood lovers! being one myself, I liked the selection of dishes available.
We ordered a few dishes across the Bites, Smalls & Hearth categories and 1 dessert to end the night. Note that some items that we wanted to try were unavailable when ordering. Nevertheless, we had some of the best grilled dishes - prawns, octopus, salmon. Seated on the counter seats, we were able to watch the preparation of the food by the chefs.
Overall, recommended and we would be keen to be back to try the other prawns dishes etc.
One Prawn & Co. delivers a culinary experience that blends creativity with bold flavors. We couldn’t get enough of the Prawn Toast—each bite was a symphony of crunch, perfectly paired with their irresistible homemade aioli. The Burnt Ends were melt-in-your-mouth tender, with just the right amount of char, while the Haricot Vert & Burrata surprised us with its unique combination of creamy burrata, crisp long beans, and salty anchovies for a bold texture contrast. The Octopus with Assam Hummus was another creative standout, showcasing the restaurant's innovative fusion approach. Despite our fullness, we couldn’t resist adding on an order of the Haddock Burger (and with absolutely no regrets)—flaky, golden perfection tucked into a buttery, toasted brioche. Every dish felt like a thoughtful creation, making this a spot we’ll definitely return to.
One Prawn & Co serves a wide variety of exquisitely crafted dishes with a unique twist to them. Each component of the dish is intentional and serves a purpose in making the dish more all rounded. The Burnt ends were well caramelized and had a smokey flavor to them. The prawn toast with home made aioli was crunchy and savory. We also tried out their Haricot Verts and Burrata, which was a unique fusion dish playing off the crunchiness of the anchovies, greens, with the creaminess of the burrata. We also had their dry age rib eye, which was a classic for any grill menu. The halibut burger was absolutely gorgeous as well, featuring a thick, well-seasoned chunk of fresh halibut sandwiched between 2 oven toasted bun. The smoked ice cream was one of a kind as well. I had such great fun watching the chef make the meals in front of me on the bar seats!
Chanced upon this restaurant we thought served all things prawns, tucked in a nice new enclave.
For bites, the Ostra Regal oysters airflows from France was really fresh and succulent.
For smalls, the Squid and Ink was crunchy with a subtle ocean taste which was not overpowering.
For hearth, the Monkfish and Cashew Curry was very tender and fresh too, and the liberal sprinkling of chives added some crunch too.
Staff were also very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant manager Aloysius was also kind enough to give us a bowl of their signature prawn/pork broth which reminded us of their famous prawn noodles in MacPherson. Highly recommended, esp if you are in the area.
