The mussels were fantastic too, and mind you, we ordered the half portion, so imagine our surprise when these many mussels appeared in front of us, no complains though! It was fresh, garlicky and very well flavoured 💯

A hole in the wall (quite literally), this restaurant is hidden along an alley on Amoy Street and you'd quite possibly walk on by if you haven't been paying attention or intentionally looking for it.

We ordered a couple of dishes to share and started off with the Truffled Organic Ribeye Steak, which is a 200g NZ organic ribeye cooked to medium rare, topped with 5-6g of shaved truffles, accompanied by a bowl of grilled vegetables. Spotting a nice shade of copper red, this was flavourful and tender to say the least.

The Crab Cake Benedict was pretty tantalising as well, where the sweet-savoury flavours of the deshelled crab meat were packed together, giving it a slightly chewy texture. The bacon perched upon it was thin and crispy, providing an element of crunch to cut on the monotony.

Quite possibly the dish that shot them to fame, this dish needs no introduction - they didn’t even bother giving it a proper name 😂 the Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles was simply marvellous 🤩 while there was nothing fancy about the chicken (I mean it’s just fried chicken), they were absolutely wonderful — perfectly simple and just what I was looking for. Juicy, tender and easily torn apart, the chicken was really flavourful with a thin, crispy skin that crackles with every bite. The cheddar waffle had a savoury kick to it and I drenched it in maple syrup for a sweet and savoury combination. The diced up, spiced watermelon was an interesting take; dunked in watery, hot sauce which was rather refreshing 👅

This was one of the nicer tasting dishes of the night! Served hot and crispy, the Chili crab sauce adds a nice punch to the palate and I devoured this within minutes!

Came here for a birthday celebration and manage to secure seats with a view 💯 food didn’t disappoint, though it certainly didn’t dazzle as well but I’d come back again just for the view and ambience. I’d recommend the pan fried salmon which was fresh and tender, with a nice, crispy skin to boast.

Of all that I tried, I enjoyed the Apple Glazed Meatball the most. Sweet, crunchy and juicy, the meatball were lovingly wrapped with bacon and heart cloggingly good 🤭

With Mother's Day just round the corner, they have specially curated a menu with Somersby and fruity elements for the occasion. We tried their Morganfield's Sticky Bones Ribs, that was slow baked for hours and grilled to reach a juicy and tender texture, along with some charred and dried crust, glazed with the sweet yet tarty Somersby Apple-Glazed BBQ sauce - made from Somersby Apple cider, honey and aromatic Granny Smith apples.

Cuban food are not common in Singapore and my first try at cuban dishes was pretty interesting!

Tried the Signature Mojito Chicken was recommended by the staff and it was pretty interesting. The boneless chicken thigh was drenched in tangy-sweet mango salsa which was a first for me, where the savoury, sweet and sour elements come into play together. Despite the use of thigh meat, the chicken was slightly dry though it was nothing too consequential since the mango salsa complemented it. To counter all the protein, the dish was served with herbed vegetables and roasted potatoes for a more balanced meal.

The eye-catching shop name caught my attention and decided to give it a go since I'm in the vicinity. As the name suggests, they supposedly serve Nothing But CheeseBurger though there are chicken patty options, fries with various sauces available as an add on, as well as ice cream from Udders.

Went with the NBCB ($11.90) which consists of a single beef patty, topped with cheddar cheese, crunchy lettuce and tomato slices, sandwiched between 2 lightly crisp and charred, buttered, brioche buns. It was everything expected of a cheeseburger - tender and juicy patty with crispy edges for a change in texture, well balanced flavours and non-soggy buns. The Double CheeseBurger ($15.90) had an additional patty (well duh) and we added in some crispy bacon to mitigate the greenery.

We paid an additional $4 to complete the meal with fries and drinks, along with an additional $1 for sauce to accompany the fries. The truffle mayo sauce was good, though I felt that they could be more generous with the sauce since half of my fries were naked. The criss cut fries were soggy and could also do well with more sauces.

Overall, the meal was pretty decent and while it didn't disappoint, it certainly didn't dazzle as well - just good ol’ CB 👅

On to the mains, we had the Picanha 200G. It's quality beef, with tension and flavour. It was well seasoned, served with rosemary and garlic, without any sauces so you can enjoy it at its finest. Sauces are available at additional costs if you'd like.

Overall, a very pleasant dining experience here and I foresee myself coming back again.

The cheeseboard was a little too overwhelming for a lightweight like me, whereas my dining companions had no trouble devouring the blue cheeses with the amazing bread they have. Blue cheese has this sharp, dusky odour that I simply can't get used to, anyone feel me? 😂
