Tried the pork and chicken set and left feeling underwhelmed. The sizzling hotplate looked promising but the meat was rather tasteless, lacking seasoning and depth. Even with the garlic and sauce, it didn’t quite come together.
The rice and soup were standard fillers and while the portion was decent, the overall meal felt more functional than flavourful 》$11.80

Tender chicken, potatoes, carrots and red chillies all simmered in a savoury soy-based gravy in a claypot. The sauce had that comforting balance of salty-sweet with a gentle herbal depth, perfect for spooning over fluffy white rice. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and the chillies gave just enough heat to keep things lively. Everything’s well-cooked and soaked in flavour, though it leans more homestyle than punchy 》$7.80 + $1 Rice

Tried the preserved radish (菜脯) steamed golden Pomfret and bean sauce steamed sea bass. The pomfret came as a half fish but still generous. It’s flaky, fresh and topped with savoury cai pu that added crunch. Light soy base, not too salty, just clean and comforting.
The sea bass had a deeper, punchier bean sauce that clung nicely to the tender flesh. Topped up $1.50 for the tail and it was worth it for more meat. Fish was fresh, no muddy taste and steamed just right.
Each set comes with rice and a side. I went with beansprouts and steamed egg. Other choices includes baby kailan or cai pu beancurd if you’re feeling veggie.

The spice was mild and I was expecting a bit more tang but the broth was still flavourful. Loved the silky egg tofu and crunchy bean sprouts, and they’re generous with the fish slices. The enoki and tomato added a nice touch too. Paired with fluffy white rice, it made for a comforting meal, though I do wish the sourness came through a little more 》$13.80 / Double Set
