Very crispy bottom and good flavours, but there were a lot of fats, more fats than meat almost.

The marinade was very mild and it was reasonably tender but could have done a bit more bite as well as more crisp

Barely serviceable

This Lechon here tasted more like sio bak than suckling pig.

I Have had the best experience eating Lechon at Grandlink Square previously, so I was expecting something similar.

Sadly, it was not as good. Although the skin was crispy, it wasn't as good as Don Lechon. Don lechon was like a suckling pig standard already. This was more like sio bak.

Meat wise, it was only ok. And I couldn't taste anything spicy of the lechon.

Overall I would rate this 2.5/5.

Fairly affordable.

Wanted the Iskina Sisig(Hot Plate Pork) but sold out, thus decided to try their grilled chicken instead.

Chicken was soft and tender and was grilled very well. It wasn't dry or charred like many other grilled chicken I have eaten.

What is lacking here is a good sauce to drench the rice in.

Overall 3.5/5

My first time trying Lechon after so long! For some crackling roasted suckling pig with a good portion of fats underneath the crispy skin, this is the place to go. Slowly roasted with a mix of their own spices, the meat was tender, extremely flavourful although came across as rather salty. I liked the addition of the Filipino spices which was strong on garlic and herbs. Their Lechon Goes definitely well with the garlic vinegar dip that adds on an extra pungency. The lechon meal was served with a portion of rice and a bowl of soup, having the non-spicy and spicy option. Good for one person as the fattiness could slowly turn jelak. Definitely one that my family really enjoyed as we returned the next day for the 1/4 Lechon this time.

Since my first time trying this Filipino food, Lechon at Lechon Republic (at Novena), I’ve been wanting to try the others done by others. I liked that Iskina Cebu had the spicy and non-spicy option. So, for starters, I ordered the 1/4kg non-spicy Lechon. I ordered this via delivery as they’re located at Ayer Rajah which is way out of the way for me. (Thank goodness for food delivery service!)

The crackling was real crunchy, except that some parts were burnt. The meat was nicely flavoured with the Filipino spices and was mostly meat, not too much fat, which was good.
(The one I had at Lechon Republic had a huge proportion of fat, and it was more plain meat wasn’t seasoned much with the spices).

I feel this was more unique in flavour, and good. I might just try their spicy version the next time!
