[CLOSED] Happy Mookata (Golden Mile Tower)

Happy Mookata solves my dilemma between Thai mookata and Korean cheese BBQ with a pampering all-you-can-eat buffet ($29.90 per person) that throws in drinks and desserts — think, chocolate fondue 🍫, six flavours of ice-cream with toppings 🍨, and (my recommended) Thai milk tea. This here, is the buffet I recommend to my friends even when they don’t ask 🙈

Grab at least one friend to share a dual soup pot that includes a cheesy nacho sauce dip 🧀 Their tom yum broth is spicy and salty and their chicken soup is slurps of savoury. Help yourself to their seafood spread that’s replete with crayfish, clams, tiger prawns 🦐, scallops, flower crabs 🦀, and mussels. There's an array of marinated meats 🥩 but also grab their unseasoned pork belly to grill till brown and smoky. Then smother all in smooth cheese sauce and, while you're at it, boil a pack of Korean instant noodles to do the same. Pull the strands in to the yellow dip 💛 and twirl up a gloppy tangle to relish — voila, DIY cheese ramyeon.

Spent $27.40 (w one drink). Decently priced mookata buffet. Popcorn chicken were surprising good! Fav protein gotta be the black pepper beef and pork liver. Comes with free flow ice-cream now! 🍦

Happy Mookata is a great option for night owls since they're open till six in the morning. Located at Golden Mile Tower (not Complex), there are no Thai vibes here whatsoever. But it's probably one of, if not THE cheapest mookata buffet there is, so the lack of atmosphere and good ventilation can be brushed aside. For $23.90/pax, you can get your fill of standard items like chicken, pork, sausages, prawns and vegetables. They don't use charcoal here either, but that shouldn't be a problem if you're not fussy! Happy Mookata will probably be not be at the top of your list, but it surely won’t let you down when that craving hits in the middle of the night.

Impromptu. Was skeptical at first but quickly convinced after taking the first bite of that well marinated blackpepper beef. Although they have a range of seafood, meat and sides, their specialty truly lies in their marinated meat. Their seafood range aint that fresh in my opinions so just dive right into the MEAT! That heated nacho cheese dip freeflow just value up the mookata experience too. Buffet price excludes drinks but their thai milktea is pretty legit too.
