Hidden away on Craig Road, without a signage to boot, it was pretty hard to find the place, unless I looked out for its address number. The ambience is gorgeous and they have a good-looking list of food, in which I have to go back and try! I went there for their good collection of Gin, and very friendly staff that have good knowledge of what they are serving. And because of the SG50, they are having a $50/bottle champagne promotion til 11 August. Light and slightly sweet, the champagne is delightful, but after awhile it's after taste isn't that great.
They call this chocolate canyon - choc sorbet. Tasteless, ttz all i can say
Secluded, hidden gastrobar with the most relaxing ambience and impeccable service. This pair of shots were complimentary after we received a cocktail that wasn't suitable to our palate. What a great end to the weekends (:
The slow roasted duck leg with sunchoke confit and foie gras sounded and looked very promising, but wasn't to my liking. The whole dish was on the oily side and the combination of duck and foie gras turned out to be heavier than I expected, there's also a slight bitter after taste that I didn't fancy much. While the duck was pretty tender, the foie gras was slightly over cooked and didn't have the melt in your mouth oomph factor. I guess the seafood dishes were better picks for the night.
The second seafood dish we ordered did not fail to please as well. Fish of the day and tiger prawns were very fresh and succulent, and goes well with the ratatouille. Would definitely recommend this especially if you're thinking of getting after dinner drinks and want something lighter. They serve pretty good cocktails here as well.
When you walk along Craig Road, it's easy to not notice Fordham & Grand. Tucked behind an ordinary looking door that seems to blend in with the wall, I actually missed it even though it's not my first visit. Lobster linguine was pretty good with juicy lobster meat and taste infused in the pasta. Only complain is that they could have been more generous with the lobster meat!
