I used to shun the desserts at Salt after a not very impressive experience, glad i gave it another go today. My 1st try of their molten lava cake, which didnt come with the usual boring pairing of vanilla icecream and berries. The honeycomb icecream and coffee soil balanced the sweetness of the lava cake, and yes, it was molten. Lovely dessert, would definitely order this again!
No one does it better than Morton's, no one
Not a fan of Awfully Chocolate cakes as i prefer the dense and flourless type (Cedele's chocolate truffle cake version). But AC's tart is pretty good! The chocolate was dense and tart was baked to perfection. Will be back!
I met you too late. I thought you are a twin of the dark chocolate dome at Black Swan, until i finally met you yesterday. G spot is prettier on itself without the need of fancy plating, thanks to the shine. The inside had more crumble than black swan's version, and sweetness was well balanced. I'll be back 😊
Probably the lesser ordered dessert compared to their popular 8 spiced apple crumble and souffle. I love their souffle but decided to give this a try. Didnt regret it, mousse with light and the taste of the hazelnut and chocolate was perfectly balanced. A dessert to order again!
This is your molten chocolate not cake but tart. The crisp tart was a good contrast to the molten chocolate 👍🏼
Their pistachio n choc souffle was full marks. As they have just changed their menu, it was replaced by mango and chocolate souffle. M not a fan of mango but decided to try it and it was not disappointing. Texture of souffle was fluffy and the taste of mango n chocolate complemented each other very well!
I felt really eager to try this the moment the service staff cuts the souffle and pours the creme into it. The 15mins wait was worth it. Light and fluffy, it wasnt a heavy dessert and the surprise was it tasted like my fav pandan cake!
Over rated. The choc sauce wasn't hot enough, n it was a tad too salty.
I wasnt expecting a molten lava cake since it was described as a fondant, and past fondants that i've tried didnt have a very molten centre. This was different. Once you cut into it, the molten centre excites you. Nicely paired with vanilla icecream and the sour berries. Mmmm..another lava cake to add to my fav dessert list
The dessert saved the day after we had below average mains at Caffe B. Not excellent but i would rate it 3.5/5 for the quality of the chocolate used.
Dark choc with vanilla creme, good balance of sweetness
