We saw this in The White Lotus so ordered haha. They're risotto rice balls stuffed with buffala, mozzarella and carrot purée. Unfortunately kinda normal.

I love pesto and this did not disappoint. Together with pine nuts, cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, it's simple and lovely.

I should not like gnocchi since I only like noodle pasta, but it's the one thing I often order. Here did not disappoint. Slightly salty, it's a skilful plate despite the simplicity.

I had nowhere else to eat, and like a true caricature, KFC delivered another joke. This was like a typical Bandito Pockett but they decided to slot in lao hong tortilla chips and use mango habanero sauce. It was an awkward combo, with cheap-tasting spiciness and sourness.

Curry paste like most zichar stalls, so not the wettest. Meat was too chewy. Overall acceptable lah.

An outstanding bowl of pho from a Viet hawker. Everything was on point, from the meat to the soup to the garnish. The beef has different cuts.

Craving something warm and comforting after a tough HIIT session, I headed over to Joo Chiat Chiap Kee for their fishball noodles.

The mee tai bak, tossed in chilli and crispy lard, packed a rich, spicy punch that was seriously addictive. Simple yet satisfying, every bite hit the spot. The soup was clean and light, with fresh handmade yellowtail fishballs, a meatball, and herh keow (fish dumpling).

Weekends can mean long queues, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Compared to the Bedok 538 market outlet, this one just hits differently—the flavour and texture here just feel more on point. A comforting bowl that never lets me down 》$4
