The selection of pizzas were varied and we decided to go for a Japanese-style version. The pizza was filled with teriyaki chicken cubes, onion and green chilli, and topped with mozzarella and bonito flakes. A fiery heat hit my mouth every few bites from the green chilli and it was flavourful from the Japanese mayo and teriyaki glaze sauce.
A carnivore lover platter made up of lamb chops, marinated beef, chicken skewers, merguez sausage & Italian sausage served with rustic bread, mint yogurt and black pepper sauce. The beef stood out the most as it was grilled perfectly to medium rare, and it was tender and flavourful by itself. The lamb chops however were done too raw that the meat was tough to bite.
This thin-crusted Parma Pizza 🍕 just blown me away! Thinly sliced Parma Ham with lots of rockets, since when did I fall in love so quickly, I'm missing this already even though it's just been one day...
3 munchies: With a crisp crust and creamy melted mozzarella cheese, the aromatic truffle oil and truffle cream enhanced the dough with earthy flavours. Every bite also was also doubled up with sliced fresh mushrooms and a rich mushroom duxelle. The Truffle Pizza is great for sharing as well as pairing with the extensive range of wines and craft beer offering.
Cheese platter with burrata, goat's cheese and blue cheese - I'm usually not a fan of the latter, but these served at Drinks & Co proved to be smooth and creamy enough, especially when paired with the apricots to keep the pungent taste more acceptable.
Featuring blue cheese, burrata, and manchego, the platter also comes with bread, marmalade jam, olives, mustard, walnuts, dried apricot, and fresh grapes to contrast the rich, creamy flavours. The full-bodied Silver Palm 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is Drinks & Co's wine of the month, makes a great pairing with its saturated ripe blackberry flavours that linger nicely on the finish.
