Had 2 pizzas here at Casa Roma. I doubt they specialise in pizza. From the picture, you can see the ingredients are so limited and not spread out evenly. Little cheese making it not tasty too.
Disappointing: 2/10
Won't come back for the pizza. However, will return to try the pasta that they seem to be more specialised in.
Pizza Ordered:
FRUTTI DI MARE $23.50
QUATTRO STAGIONI $24
Gnocchi was delicious: mushrooms were good, gnocchi itself was soft but had a nice bite, and the SAUCE WAS GREAT! Savoury and creamy, we polished this up.
Pizza was decent. It’s good that the crust was quite thin, so we weren’t super stuffed!
Overpriced, not worth the money. Does not taste like Italian food. Service was terrible
Service is a bit gruff but the food is all right. However, it is obvious that the pasta was not handmade and this is a dealbreaker for me, personally. The seafood is very fresh though, and I especially enjoyed the squid rings!
Had the Pizza California (Bacon Onions Egg) $20.50 and Linguine al Cartoccio (Spicy Tomato Seafood) $24.50 @ 1-for-1. We liked that the pizza had a thin crust, but nothing else. Pasta wasn't al dente and the sauce was not very flavourful, but the we thought the seafood was fresh. Also ordered a Mushroom Soup and Calamari. Again, not very flavourful and soup was watery, but the squid was fresh.
Overall, the food was disappointing and it would have been expensive without the 1-for-1.
Prawns were really big and of high quality, but slightly mushy and lacking in smokiness. Garlic Herb was lacking and the balsamic vinegar doesnt rlly pair well with the prawns
