The founders, Indra and Ridzuan, both come from humble backgrounds and have worked in Michelin restaurants previously, and to see them grow the brand to where it is today is truly heartening. True to their promise since day 1, Burgs has been flipping gourmet burgers at wallet-friendly prices and this is no exception at their first ever outlet in a shopping mall. From their signatures the Burgs Beef Bacon Cheese Burger ($7.50/$10.50) and Burgs Classic Cheese Burger ($6.90/$9.90), there are also exclusive items to this outlet such as the Marinara Burger ($5.90/$8.90), Salmon Roll ($11.90), new sides such as Nuggies with Cheese Dip ($5.90) and sweets like Lotus Biscoff Soft Serve ($4.90). There are also non-beef options such as the Crispy Fish Burger ($7.90/$10.90) and Chicken Coney Dog ($6.90) in the menu.

To celebrate the opening, @burgsbyprojectwarung will be unveil an exclusive burger drop that is not available in the menu, the Chilli Cheese Burger, which will be given out for free for the entire first week of the outlet’s opening from 21 to 27 August to 100 lucky diners a day when they purchase a set meal, while stocks last. The Chilli Cheese Burger comes with a handcrafted beef patty, topped with chicken chilli con carne and American cheese, sandwiched between their signature buns, freshly baked from an original recipe. Alternatively, you can also look forward to the National Day special, the Nasi Lemak Burger ($5.90), that will be available for a limited time only. The Nasi Lemak Burger comes with a deep fried turmeric chicken fillet dressed with cucumber, homemade sambal, whole fried egg and the special touch of ikan bilis.

Double cheeseburger, an additional layer of beef patty on top of a single cheese burger. The thing is I don’t think there is much flavour to the beef patty, so this wasn’t a huge wow. I’d rather choose the single cheeseburger with an egg for the price. Nonetheless, glad I tried it😊

Fluffy buttered buns with a single beef patty, cheese melted onto it, and topped with a sunny side up egg for to elevate the experience. This is one you can get if you think a double cheese burger would be too filling, but a single would not be enough for you. The beef patty was decent, and while they had green chilli and shallots to the burger, there wasn’t anything special about its overall flavour. What I liked about it was how the sunny side up yolk was runny, it made a lot of difference to how oozey and messy this burger would be eaten, in a good way. $3 for a fries upgrade might seem pricey to some, but I thought the Cuban fries was worth it. It comes with cheese, beef brisket and a sprinkle of chilli flakes. It was an interesting flavour, especially how there was pulled beef with it - making the upgrade pretty worth it! For the overall price, and the fact that I am able to get a higher quality of burgers in a food court, I am pleased!

Singtel patty, slathered with house made sauce (possibly Mayo) and a juicy, satisfying patty. The buns were pillowy and as seen, was engraved with their trademark “B”. I would have preferred a “toasted” bun, with crispy outer and fluffy interior, rather than a pillowy-overall bun. I guess it’s just a matter of personal preference! This 🍔 came along with a fried sunny side up - nice to know and justifies the price point but in terms of taste, you can’t quite taste any egginess (masked from the seasoned patty and sauce!) Am not complaining tho! Please do not take away the 🍳! In terms of the fries... they were really bad, frozen thick cut and soggy (tried the ones from my dining partner). I was glad to have upgraded my fries to sweet potato fries- they tasted better but were equally soggy and not exactly “wow”. Extremely expensive (+$3) for fries upgrade!! I would order ala-carte if there’s an option to do so next time!

Yums! Eating these burgers was an experience like no other for this gal. Love the price point for one! The classic cheeseburger was $5.50 and the hickory smoked beef brisket was $6 at viva business park.

As for the burgers, enjoyed the buns as they were perfectly soft. Particularly enjoyed the beef brisket because it felt like the burger kept giving with its meat. HAHAHAH. But hey, Marcus enjoyed the classic cheeseburger more. It’s up to you if you prefer a more classic burger or want to try something different! All in all, love these quality burgers at a great price point. ☺️

Really decent burgers at an affordable price point! I tried Burg’s Classic Cheeseburger and added 60 cents for an additional fried egg. The beef patty was thick and juicy, and it came with cheese, pickled green chilli and crispy fried shallots. I like how they added their own local twist with the green chilli and fried shallots 😋 The burger also comes with thick cut fries, which were hot and crispy!
