The wanton mee stall looked pretty unassuming but it was good, the noodles were springy and there was a generous portion of ingredients too.

Family style tze char in a hidden part of Queenstown .....

An all time family favourite is that bubbling hot Claypot of sea cucumber and roasted pork which adds that umami and decadence to the dish .

Then generously filled with an assortment of vegetables and plum mushrooms .

Very affordable and enjoyable .

In this forgotten part of Queenstown , you”ll find this sleep Coffeeshop with actually a very good tze char stall.

Featured here are the honey spiced pork chops.
Lean but tender and with a slightly charred edge .

The crisp curry leave help to add a nice aroma when eaten together with the pork chops.

You get your bang for your buck when eating in these tze char stalls because the taste and the quality of food is sometimes even better than restaurants .

What an ingenious and creative dish ... ...

I haven’t seen this dish outside so this must be a unique creation by the Chef .

Crisp beancurd skin fried till golden brown and with a fresh shrimp enveloped within .

Best to Order when you have a large enough group to share 😊

I love this quaint little Coffeeshop because they serve up pretty good tze char fare - not only in taste but also in price and presentation.

I usually shun tze char stalls in coffee shops because most don’t meet my standards so I am very grateful that a relative recommended this place .

The prawns are crunch and well seasoned and the crisp curry leaves just add such a lovely kick to the dish .

Very well executed - better than a good majority of restaurants I must say .

I crown this the best curry puff in Singapore ....

In this sleepy part of Queenstown lies a “ no name” stall 10 within a coffee shop at Blk 164 stirling road.

You see these friendly malay ladies tirelessly making endless curry puffs - curry potato or sardine.

They have the best crisp skin I have ever eaten and the fillings are so tasty - there’s even a huge piece of egg in the curry potato ones .

Everything is handmade on site so there are limited quantities . Don’t be surprised to see stacks of curry puffs and still be refuted purchase because they have so many pre orders .

Their mee rubus is also highly recommended .

Come early to avoid disappointment .
