Value For Money

I get extremely excited when I find a place that serves great food at great prices . I feel that the whole world should know :)

Pretty decently priced at 23 for a huge meaty bald head. Fresh was extremely fresh.

Could do with less oil but flavours on point and for once , the lady fingers are crisp and green .

One of the more robust Kim Chi soups I have had.

Everything served up here is nothing by fresh !

Excellent and authentic Korean food nestled in the sunset way enclave.

First tried this stall at their Tiong Bahru outlet .

The homemade sambal is the best I have ever had , combined with their basmati rice .

The otah is a little pastey so can skip that - go for the eggs and the fried chicken or nasi kuning set instead.

2.80 for a plate - how cheap is that .

No one does pancakes like hoshino :)

Aromatic , fluffy and a real pancake - not the soufflé mess 😁.

value for money - best to be shared .

Pretty value for money Chicken teriyaki set lunch at this pretty authentic Japanese restaurant .

The homemade crabmeat Pidan tofu was one of the best versions I have tried .

A nice place for gatherings and catch up with friends :)

Haven’t been back to this place ever since the queues got so mad .

It used to be really quite nice and quiet 🤫 with manageable queues.

Like their white bee Hoon which is tasty and not greasy and you get to choose the type of egg that you like ( whether more cooked or more runny ) and the auntie at the service counter is always very accommodating.

The fluffy buns with kaya are faultless and needless to comment more .

What I found intriguing was the queue system .

After queuing for your bread and coffee - then you gotta queue at the bee Hoon / noodles counter for Your bee Hoon .

Isn’t that double queuing ? 🤣 not so time effective for a solo diner like me - no one to spilt the “ queuing work “ with .

My all time favourite peanut pancake :)

Fluffy , chewy , crisp at the sides and filled generously with molten peanut jam.

Ask for your pancake to be warmed up and you will see It literally thrown into the microwave 🤣.

1.80 is not the cheapest but portions are good.

Rotating daily lunch set at marche.
Half a roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and a side chickpea salad and a home made drink .

Amazing value at 10.90 plus.

Homely atmosphere to dine in :) I like !

My Malan place specialises in nasi lemak sets , mee siam , mee rebus and snacks like Bergadil and Gado gado .

I like how fresh the ingredients were - the veggies were well prepared and still maintained a good crunch .

Moist and soft rice cakes , plump beancurd cubes and the best of all -

That luxurious sauce that’s not too sweet and with a good underlying aromatic flavour.

I have been visiting my makan place since their Katong days .

So glad now they are conveniently located at arc.

Comforting bowl of mee Rebus . Well made sauce that’s not too sweet and plump and fresh beancurd cubes .

You have a choice to add on bergadil to add more variety to your plate .

Value for money 👏.

Amazing chicken - so aromatic with this fiery homemade rempah .

Really enjoyed this through and through .

This was in better rendang and curry chicken - combining the best of both - and I like how the spiciness from the chilli padi came through .

And that’s sambal - so good .

Need I say more ?
