Thai Dynasty (Jem)

Ingredients were average though, this is all the ingredients in the soup. It's really not a lot, quite a bit are veggies, and the quality is very average

Idk why, it seems like the base is similar, but this was much more addictive than the nonsense I had a few days ago. Much better, though still not great. It's quite sour and sweet, not so much spicy, and there's quite a bit of depth as well

Just cabbage, and this is terrible
The base seems like it's from instant noodle packet, even though it's obviously more complex than that.

I rmbed the tom yum as an ala carte being somehow very good but this is bad. I'll go back and try the ala carte one, give them one more chance

The sauce was pretty flavourful, not quite sure what it is but theres an underlying depth and it's strongly seasoned, and quite sweet. Ckn chunks were generous and tender but not very crispy, the seasoning means it works well w the tasteless egg

It's alright overall

I was pretty impressed, it's strong and very well balanced in seasoning. Quite unexpected for a hawker stall, not bad at all

Additional $2 for the Tom yum soup add-on I think. It was not very worth it for. It was way too tart for me but I think come people like it that way. The pad thai portion was huge! I struggled to finish it. The Thai stall which was there before this new one at JEM was wayyyy better. This wasn't bad. Average. There were two chilli sauces but they were not very different. Both were quite sour. The Thai stall at Westgate has a similar way of providing two chilli sauces but they are both very different and delicious. Around $5.50 for the pad Thai.
