Good Hawker

Good standard as before, but Liji doesn't do their incredibly cheongfun anymore

Beef is fine, omelette and curry were good too, and veggie was quite flavourful

Only problem is the price, beef is V expensive for the portion

Quite pricey, I didn't expect the mutton curry to be so expensive

Chapati isn't as good this time

But the mutton curry is still super tender and thick, absolutely lovely with the strong mutton umami

Can't believe even this has extremely good ratio, there's more stuff than noodles

Rmb to add sambal, otherwise ABIT plain

The rice is quite flavourful, and everything here has serious chew. It's not unpleasant, and I suspect some people will like this style

otherwise the execution is fine, esp the 3 sauces were all not bad

Worth a try if you're in the area

This is something else

The sauce is much much better than most. It's got incredible flavour and a hint of sourness to go with some heat from chili padi. The depth comes from a generous amount of oyster sauce

Frogs were tender too

Perhaps the best version I've had

Decent flavour decent crisp esp the salted fish is quite generous.

What's most impressive is the portion, this feeds 2.

For the price it's really generous, there's 4 pieces. If you come early enough (before 8am) there's fish roe also

Today's soup was ABIT weak tho

The meat and rice were both ABIT dry

I figured out why their red bean is special. It's got cinnamon inside, no wonder there's a slight fruitiness.

The red bean itself is still V good, although the skin is ABIT tough

The bkt is ofc as good as ever

Can't rmb if I've reviewed their pigtail before, but it's reasonably tender. They cook it to the same texture as the pig trotters, not the melt in your mouth kind but more than tender enough. On the plain side tho, as the pork ribs tend to be as well

It's almost funny how close the flavour is to the canned versions. However given it's freshly cooked the texture is better
