The GBOAT is officially retiring.

I'm always abit annoyed when my favourite burpplers quit posting without explaining why. I feel like there's an obligation to your fans to explain why you stop, so I am going to do that if there's even a single person who's been following my posts

It's been a good run, but this app has been on the downhill since the new management took over. The app itself is getting worse and worse with each update, which shows a lack of care. The community is almost nonexistent now, and the new management doesn't seem to care at all about the opinion of the users, instead focusing their efforts solely on new cash grabs.

It's very sad because I started my foodie journey with burpple, when the food scene hasn't really exploded yet and rose to the top of the reviewers with them.

On the personal side, I'm moving to Edinburgh for studies and without a big presence here, I thought it's abit more pointless to review Edinburgh restaurants on burpple.

Nonetheless, to those who have read my reviews, thank you. And to all food lovers, happy eating and stay healthy

This is an appetiser not a main

And thus the price is absolutely ridiculous. It's a really tryhard place, it's in a mall with severely lacking service yet they charge elevated dining prices. Not sure where they get the confidence from

The seafood foam is decent enough, strong tasting but the parsley was not of a good quality and so it affected the foam's taste.

Bun texture was not good, although the slightly sweet very crispy comte crust was good

Seafood inside was a little fishy

This was trash.

The cheese was tasteless and theres hardly any flavour. V oily and the herb sauce thing has a candy like taste

So, so bad.

Smelly and very salty

The bread sucks too, it tastes very neighbourhood which is funny considering the price

Says 12pm open but then they said the chef isn't coming until 1330

Worst case they don't even allow booking, and the phone number isn't even working. This sucker travelled from the west just to be faced with this fiasco

Rlly tasteless version. There's hardly any taste to the soup, much less any sauerkraut flavour

This sucks. Hardly any blue, and definitely no blue taste. The texture was very coagulated, not real cheese

Fails on all 3 levels. Skin cmi, soup not umami enough, worst is there's cubed ginger in the filling. Who wants to chew on ginger?

Come on

The wait was insanely long. 15mins for each dish, and so 30mins total because they only have 1 pan. Lol

Dumplings were passable, carbonara sauce was very wrong and there's also pork lard things.

Cacophonic, they don't go tgt at all

Is really tteokbokki in a western-ish mushroom sauce. The balance is terrible, it doesn't taste like anything and despite the chaos there's no strong flavours.
