What truly surprises me though, is the sweet flavours. I do not have a sweet tooth but the Azuki Butter and Hokkaido Milk are sooooo good and the filling was light, not too sweet and generous.

Long belated post but glad to try the shio pans from Shio & Sato before it closed in Apr 2026 - these shio pans are truly the best I have eaten in Singapore. The outside is crisp and salty and the inside is soft and pillowy - so delicious! The savoury toppings did not the disappoint - I enjoyed all the flavours, especially Mentaiko Kombu, Truffle and Green Chilli Onion.

(Regular - $5.80) I saw the news when shio & salt decided to close down on this april. I decided to buy their salted bun for trying it out. The bun got strong savoury taste for salted sea salt to complement well with matcha hokkiado milk (sweet, creamy and milky).

Tried both the garlic herb cheese and sea salt shio pan. The garlic one stole the show. It’s super fluffy with that cheesy, herby goodness baked right in. The garlic’s strong but not in-your-face and the crust has a nice little crunch.

The sea salt version’s more chill. Simple and soft with just enough salt to keep things interesting. Not mind-blowing but still a solid snack.

Would defs go back for the garlic cheese one. Perfect for when you want something savoury but not too heavy.
