PS.Cafe (Great World)

One of my favourite desserts

We visited PS Cafe at Great World for dessert and we decided that we had to get something else other than the sticky date pudding! Our eyes landed on the Golden Banana Butterscotch Bundt, which comprises a banana cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, set in a pool of toffee sauce! The banana sauce was pretty legit and the banana flavour really stood out, although it was largely overpowered by the toffee sauce. You may want to try a bit of the banana cake without the sauce so that you can enjoy the cake itself! Also, you should note that the toffee sauce is warm so the scoop of vanilla ice cream will melt really quickly.

It was a pretty great dessert although it is priced at $14++, which may be a little steep for some. Nonetheless, the price point is comparable to other similar desserts at PS Cafe (e.g., Double chocolate blackout cake).

We had to order PS Cafe's signature truffle fries but we decided to go easy on ourselves and get the half portion instead! Do note that this option isn't presented in the menu but you can make a request for it!

For $8++, you still get a really generous serving of truffle shoestring fries though. The fries were really crispy and we enjoyed the crunch when biting them. The dish was also really fragrant and we loved the amount of truffle oil used for the dish! 😋 We always feel that this starter is really value-for-money.

As with any PS cafe outlets, you are highly encouraged to make a reservation as the restaurant was full for dinner on a Friday evening! That being said, this is one of the easier PS cafe outlets to dine at since it is situated in a shopping mall. :)

I always order this whenever I am there because so far this is the dessert of choice at ps cafe. The cake is moist and the sauce is rich. Pairs really with if their ice cream.

Which means pie in the current fashion/ fashionable pie according to Wiki is pie served with ice cream.
Warm apple pie layer with flaky biscuit crumb, more biscuit and filled with vast amount of caramelised apple over a brittle tart base. Apple taste leans toward the sourish side more.
Its an okay dessert, great for eater who can't handle much sweetness.
