Intense Matcha Ganache Bun with Desiccated Coconut ($3.50)
Butter dough made with sponge dough method, generously filled with matcha cream, dusted with matcha powder, and finished with coconut flakes. Soft texture, strong matcha character. The first bite hit me with that unmistakable matcha punch. Even nibbling the outer layer, the flavour was bold yet balanced. The bread itself was soft, QQ, with gentle sweetness that paired beautifully with the creamy filling. The matcha ganache was rich and smooth, intense without being overly bitter or powdery, while the coconut flakes added a subtle lift. Bitter and sweet found harmony here. Best enjoyed fresh on the same day.

Clay-Pot Brewed YingDe Black Tea Yuen Yeung Latte ($6.50)
This cup really wakes you up. Smooth tea meets latte in perfect balance with neither overwhelming the other. No astringency, just silky, milky layers with a pleasantly bitter edge. Brewed aromatically, the natural sweetness shines through even without added sugar. Comforting yet energizing. Medium‑dark roasted coffee beans paired with Yingde black tea bring floral and honey notes, weaving in fruity, cocoa and mellow aromas. Blended with fresh milk, the texture was rich, multi‑layered and deeply satisfying.

The soft‑boiled eggs were perfect: yolk runny, whites semi‑liquid. A drizzle of dark soya and a sprinkle of pepper added flavour. Dip the waffle into the eggs and enjoy. Shiok!

The waffle was delicious, with a strong pandan flavour and a thick slab of chilled salted butter kiap inside, making it extra aromatic like an upgrade from the standard kaya toast. Probably the crispiest waffle crust I’ve had if memory serves, with a chewy, fluffy inner that paired beautifully with the butter.

A black tea from Chaozhou, China, made from the Mi Lan Xiang dancong varietal. Floral, honey-sweet, and fruity. Very aromatic and pleasing to the palate. An hourglass was provided to guide the steep time.

Part of their handcrafted creation series inspired by family travels. A blend of iced hibiscus, cinnamon, and yuja compote. Sweet and tart with a deep cinnamon fragrance, well-balanced and comforting.
