Located at top level of Jem. You can catch a glimpse of sunset if you go during the evening. Great place to hangout with friends especially for a catch-up. Tried the lavender and brown butter waffles, which are pretty decent.
We had the Thai Basil Pesto Pasta ($16) and the Truffle Cheese Pasta ($18). Portion was just nice. The Thai Basil Pesto Pasta's chicken was spicy and tasty. The Truffle Cheese Pasta was alright, would've appreciated it with bacon or an additional ingredient. For drinks we had a Matcha Latte ($6) and a Blue Pea Honey Latte ($7). The Matcha Latte was okay but the Blue Pea Honey Latte didn't have much of a taste. That aside, the best thing we would say we had was the Fried Cookie Dough with Gelato ($7.80) (we got the Apple Pie flavoured). It was delicious and extremely worth the price. We'll definitely be back for it! Since this place was tucked away at JEM's rooftop, there wasn't a crowd and the ambience was peaceful.
Food and drinks were very worth it with the 1 for 1 burpple deal. The place was also very cozy, a good place to chill and rest away from the crowd.
Go up to L4 and cut through the food court to take the lift or escalator to L6 to get there.
We ordered smoke duck pasta, truffle cheese pasta and chili prawn fettuccine. Would recommend the chili prawn and smoked duck pastas if you're here for a meal.
The true gem was the brown butter waffle with Madagascar vanilla gelato. The brown butter was soooo good. Flavourful, fragrant, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The gelato was a good complement to the waffle.
They have a good range of gelato flavours and waffle choices. Definitely would come back for their waffle and gelato if im near the area!
Had a little trouble locating the cafe. Had to through the food court and up the escalator out to the rooftop. Place is really cozy, if it’s not raining, the outdoor seating would have been great.
Basil chicken pasta: imo, I find it light. The marination of the chicken is as good as none. Overall dish perhaps a little too watered down? Dried herbs definitely cannot be compared to fresh herbs.
Chilli prawn pasta: I’m someone that eats xiao la for my mala. So I find the spicy taste somewhere between xiao la and zhong la. Quite shiok. The prawns are pretty fresh and the overall taste is stronger than the basil pasta.
Both pastas isn’t al dente, they are a little over cooked to my liking. And the funny thing is, both the pasta looks steaming hot, but they aren’t hot? 🧐🤨
Earl grey and the hibiscus tea are twinnings tea bag. Nothing too special about it except for the fact that they are served in cute teapots.
Got 2 sets of brown better waffles with horlics & vanilla ice cream. Taste was fine.
Enjoyed the outdoor seating. It was peaceful and windy.
