Fragrant and "goreng-ed" (fried) till evenly dry, the Beehoon Goreng here has no clumpiness. Unlike some places that add minced mutton, this is pretty close to vegetarian (if you discount the dried shrimp in the sambal), as they have only egg and vegetables. I also like that the cooking style is more savoury than sweet. And they never fail to pile on the heat whenever I order mine "extra spicy".
On a separate note, I find their "Teh Tarik" way too sweet, even after repeating my request for it to be less sweet. This has happened so often I've given up trying. So a "teh o kosong" is what I get these days.
Kopi cino, nice contrast but unfortunately not up to my liking. The taste is quite blend.
This is at their new outlet at seletar mall. Nothing fantastic just average. But this place is 24 hours
Not quite a 24-hour joint but they open bright and early at 8am daily. So I can now get my prata fix in the morning in air-conditioned comfort.
The "egg prata" ($2.30+) is quite big, crispy-ish and surprisingly, not really oily. The same applies to the "plaster prata", which is identical in cost with the egg one. I always ask for fish curry gravy as I am not a fan of mutton. Although I wish it was served hotter (in temperature), their curry has a sourish note and is quite spicy - I like.
PS. Stick to the "teh tarik". I wouldn't bother with the "kopi o" here.
