The usual good chicken rice as they serve elsewhere - it is a small stall at Singpost located near the escalator so there aren’t much choice except chicken rice / noodle. Tender chicken even i didn’t pick the drumstick option. Satisfy my craving.

Had local breakfast here with kaya bun, egg and teh c. Always enjoy the kaya here which is freshly made everyday, that is so fragrant and generously spread over the bun. Be prepared to queue when you arrive at 10am for a seat.

Had the signature dry prawn noodle (fried beehoon, $16.8) and prawn noodle in soup with mixed noodle and pork rib ($9.8, add $3 for the pork rib). I enjoy the dry one more as the wok hei is strong but wish it could be more dry - can see a bit of soup in the plate of the noodle. The prawn noodle in soup is fine but not as impressive as the dry one.

Had nasi lemak with otak otak here. The fried chicken is always tender and juicy. The otak otak really surprise me given the generous amount of ground fish meat is mixed in the otak otak which makes it very thick and taste like eating real fish! Free kueh was given at the end of the lunch - not bad too!

This small bowl of laksa is so addictive and I always want to have more than one bowl...so flavorful!

Having dinner at this popular bak kut teh restaurant. The bak kut teh is peppery for me and their service is pretty quick in refilling the soup. The side dishes like the beancurd skin and the veg are something good to be shared.

$17.5 per person

Not the only place in singapore who serve kaya bun but i like their kaya bun the most - the bun itself is soft and toasted well. Chicken rice is also not bad. Always a good spot to bring tourist here so they can try both at the same time. The price is also very reasonable - only $5 per person!

The entrance to the museum is hidden on the side when you have to come here at night for dinner (near city hall). Ordered ngoh hiang ($15), buah keluak ayam ($23), chap chye ($15), nasi lemak rice ($2), chicken rice rice ($3) and pulot hitam with coconut ice cream ($12).

A more pricey choice but definitely somewhere safe to bring tourist here and have a try of perankan dish for the first time. The deco is nice too.

Ordered 2 set nonya lunch and beef rendang. Comes with free-flow of rice, dessert and drink, the lunch set is really value for money. May not be the most authentic one but definitely a place that you can grab the seat easily and have a relax lunch. $45 for 2 person.

Comes with peppery cabbage soup, the steamed boneless chicken is tender even for the breast part. The rice smells really nice and is not too oily. Be prepared to queue for half hour even arriving during off peak timing.

Had a small bowl of laksa on a rainy day and it is definitely satisfying. The bowl is strong in coconut milk flavour and is full of ingredients. Should go for a big one next time because it tastes so good!

Came at around 7 on Saturday and queued for half hour before seated. Had fish slices bee hoon and deep fried one with milk ($5.8 each). Felt like the portion is smaller than last time. The fish is still fresh and the soup is tasty but not very filling.
