The layers of meat were stacked up like a mountain atop of rice, certainly a great choice for carnivore lovers.
Overall, marination was relatively weak and the steak was overcooked.
but for this price and it can probably feed 4 people, it's a steal!
Thanks Washoku GOEN for the hosted meal.

Was served this dish complimentary while being there to work on some school assignments. Quite an innovative take on sweet potato fries that actually worked quite well; crisp sweet potatoes that are naturally sweet and earthy that matches well with the umami flavour that Mentaiko is known for. My friend and I had meals prior to coming here, but we were enjoying it so much we just couldn't stop snacking on them that the mess tin was emptied in no time!

Been going around looking for old-style Hainanese Pork Cutlets and glad to have found one here which comes with the iconic tomato-based sauce that makes it Hainanese. This is probably most value-for-money dish out of the three for you get two slabs of boneless pork that is fried to golden brown perfection; all crisp with the juices all locked within that slab of tender and easy-to-chew meat. Dip each slice of pork into the tomato-based dip to get that nostalgic, slightly sweet yet tangy flavour; missing of the freeze-packed corn, peas and carrots but still quite reminiscent in flavour. Of course, the fries are crisp and well-seasoned while the dressing for the salad on the side carries a hint of Berry flavour, just like the ones served with the Temasek Chicken Chop.

If you're around Bugis/Bras Basar and looking for a place with affordable steak, then you should definitely pop by Steakout. With lunch sets going for $10, large portions and no additional GST or service charge, Steakout provides a treat not only for your stomach, but your wallet as well.

With all the buzz surrounding this hotshot little steakhouse, you just knew the steaks-sorry, stakes, were going to be high. Don't let their cute little mascot Moo Moo fool you, this place ain't playing when it comes to excellent food. They certainly lived up to the hype and more with their glorious NZ Angus ribeye ($24.90 for 250g). Well seasoned, tender and perfectly grilled to a hearty pink medium rare, every bite of my steak was a delight. Their sides weren't shabby either, with their coleslaw being crunchy and subtly sweet while their apple-walnut-raisin salad packed a little sour punch along with the crunch of the walnuts to liven up my hearty steak just a little bit more. Along with the fact that there was no service charge and GST, this little hole in the wall has earned a little place in my heart. This place is not moo-ving from my list of great eateries anytime soon, that's for sure.

I love how GRUB takes a simple, thin cut of grass-fed beef and transforms it into something so memorable. Cooked to a tender perfection, the beef goes well with the generous lather of tangy mustard cream sauce atop a bed of sweet, caramalised onions. This is the perfect quick fix at $19 if you're craving for steak after a good workout at the park.

Super goood! The truffle oil was so fragrant and went so well with the salmon and mushroom😍😍😍 I couldn't help but scrape all the pasta sauce to eat to continue to indulge in the goodness even after I had finished all the pasta!

Brunch? The first place that comes to my mind is On The Table. This is a place recommended by my sister, and I am so glad for the recommendation. Be sure to try their honey wings!!

Truffle fries done right. The truffle aroma was really strong, and lingers in your mouth as you eat the fries. A generous amount of cheese is given, which is always welcome. The fries are served piping hot, and you can tell they were freshly prepared, or at least fried before serving. Towards the end we were each grabbing three to four fries per bite because one is simply not enough. One of the better truffle fries around!
