INDOCAFE’s version is packed to the brim with five-spiced lean pork meat, wrapped in soy bean curd skin and deep fried till crispy 😋. Definitely pair it with their sambal belachan (shrimp chili paste) 🌶 which comes in a cute little colourful pot 💕.

INDOCAFE does these little bite-sized canapés brilliantly with a contrast of textures between their freshly made crispy ‘top hat’ pastry cups and the wonderful moist filling of sweet jicama (turnips) having been steeped and stir-fried in excellent prawn and crab stock. A great choice for a main dish if you’re on a diet or just wish to eat light.

Think unlimited Kueh Pie Tee, Ayam Buah Keluak, Chap Chye and our favorite was the Ikan Masak Merah — a pan roasted cod fillet with homemade sweet sauce. The cod was so smooth and buttery!

Kueh Pie Tee - tiny crispy pastry cups served separately from bowl of turnips, crabmeat, cuttlefish and shrimps. We inserted the bowl of shredded goodies into the pastry cups with a tiny scoop of garlic chili, and happily bit into the bursts of flavours and textures.

Huat ah! Also The funniest Lohei ever. 😂

This is one Lohei with a difference, with Peranakan Curry Sauce.

Surprisingly, it worked and gave the Yu Sheng a touch of spiciness every mouthful.
