This was my first time visiting this porridge place. Their signatures which include sliced ginger and spring onion beef in claypot, hotplate tofu and chai poh egg are must-order dishes which goes very well with rice or sweet potato porridge. The porridge is prepared in taiwanese style with a thicker consistency and the rice grains retains a soft yet chewy bite.
I've been craving for this all week. First stop here right from Changi Airport, got the Ginger beef, this hotplate tofu, preserved radish eggs and sweet potato porridge. It's great to be home!
great place for a homely and comforting dinner. cai po omelette was so simple but the highlight of the show, so good together with the porridge!! would return to try the kampong chicken and pig trotter beehoon. also shoutout to the super friendly uncle staff!
pretty good zhichar, service was prompt and friendly
we ordered the hotplate tofu, 三杯鸡,chaipoh omelette and hainanese porkchop. all were pretty decent, but the omelette and tofu were especially well done.
heard that the pig trotter beehoon was v good but we didn't get to try it as they only offered it from 9pm onwards. Will look to try next time!
Love it when a place serves both chicken rice and zichar. They serve some really tasty kampong steamed chicken, complete with all the staple zichar dishes done well - qinglong cai and wasabi prawns were good!
Great zichar dishes to go with rice or sweet potato porridge. The kampong chicken was tasty and veg was nicely fried with good wokhei. Come in a big group and order more dishes to share!
