This scallops dish is amazing. There’s some miso sauce which probably has butter in it. SUPER addictive and would have gone really well with the sourdough (but sold out unfortunately).
Came here because entertainer BUT do take note that cause of policy changes, the one for one only applies for the mains, not this plate of scallops nor any of the starters. Nonetheless, my friend really recommended this and I can tell why.
If I’m not mistaken, they serve some of the same food as Maggie Joan’s so if you’d prefer a more casual but costly vibe, Gemmills is the place to go.
This was rich in flavour and went well when eaten with bread. We found this rather unique and enjoyed this quite a bit.
The pasta was tasty and was smooth in texture. However this was a bit too salty for my liking.
Second time I had this and knowing that the pungent smell came from the parmesan and the parmesan only really changed the experience. Smells strong but it doesn't taste funky, so it's the light, tender lamb ragu that you discern, along with the soft, delicate sheets of pappardelle. Nothing too fancy; just simple, comforting food.
P.S. after the menu change a lot of their old favourites such as the focaccia and lasagna are gone
Really nice fluffy sourdough without too much of the sour taste, and a really nice crispy surface(which turns harder and chewy if you leave it too long). Beef fat butter is light in flavour and the smokiness isn't very apparent. In fact the dominant aroma is that from the herbs. Needs a bit more seasoning but still not bad. Might be my imagination but the previous time I had it it was mind-blowing, while it wasn't nearly as impressive this time. Could be because of the larger portion and better seasoning.
Btw their food is from Maggie Joan's. Unfortunately I didn't know that and I ordered exactly what I had from Maggie Joan's TT
PS since they allow reservation by eatigo whereas Maggie Joan's doesn't, if there's anything you want from Maggie Joan's you can try using eatigo here lol
This was so light and refreshing !!
Just what I needed right after the awesome pecan pie I just had before this 😋
Rigatoni beef ragu in the background was delish too😁😁😁
