PSA many of their items are not available, esp the eponymous one so it's ridiculous that they're not striking them out on the menu(intentionally)

Not particularly good but interesting at least. Tastes cheap, just like the pork meatballs

Don't bother asking for a little bit of spicy.

The spicy soup is very Chinese sweet braising liquid style and completely overwhelms the Japanese broth

Radish was quite juicy. Abit fibrous though

Seaweed was good

Meatballs were firm, they burst properly and the filling was juicy

Having just had oden from an izakaya, I would say the difference is perceptible, but honestly in terms of umami the difference is not that great and this is much much more value for money

One of the best comfort food from Japan can be find in Singapore as well.

Oden is popular in Japan especially during cold season like winter.

Here they offered a variety of items to go with the hot soup. You need to get at least 3 sticks and above to enjoy the hot soup for free.

Some of the items that I would recommend are the fish roe lucky bag and fish cake.

My friend brought me to Singapore's largest outlet @immoutletmall for great deals from sportwear/fashion brands (including Nike, Charles & Keith, Furla etc) and we ended up discovering the new branch of @chankooden here!

We had the pleasure of sampling (that promo is already over though) a piping-hot bowl of umami-packed dashi broth, infused with the irresistible blend of bonito and kombu 🍲 It was love at first taste, which was what lured us to try this comfort food!

Out of all the 20+ options available, we got the below ingredients and were incredibly satisfied and gloriously stuffed afterwards

- White Radish SGD1.5
- Seaweed Knot SGD1.5
- Chikuwa SGD2
- Chicken Cheese Ball SGD2
- Lobster Ball SGD2

They also offer baked sweet potatoes (SGD 2.9-3.5), which is the ultimate healthy snack after a long day of shopping!
