they were so flavorful and tasted so distinctively different. the sesame chicken reminded us of 三杯雞 while the sweet thai one hit me right in the heart since im addicted to sour and spicy stuff these days. will def go back again
📍waacow; singapore📍4-course set menu: hokkaido oysters, torched hokkaido scallops, truffle fries, wagyu sukiyaki gyudon, house pour wine & house beer • def our fave gyudon in sg!! the beef slices was super tender and well marinated, the sauce was well-balanced (salty with a hint of sweetness), and paired with the rice, it’s an explosion of succulent beef, flavorful sauce and super chewy rice in one mouthful. the other dishes were also spectacular; the seafood was fresh & the mentaiko added additional texture and flavors to the dish. what surprised us the most was that the truffle fries was so well done that it nearly became our fave dish of the night. & can i say i’m in love with the house wine?
One for one rosti at Munch. The rosti was pretty much tasteless and super oily. Also the fish was under seasoned. The only saving grace was the chicken thigh. Won’t come back again 😭
super high on our to visit again list!! the latte is our fave kind; slightly bitter, smooth and mellow! matcha latte on the other hand is a bit too sweet so probs will not get it again
📍twenty grammes; singapore📍triple scoop waffle with vanilla, earl gray and sea salt caramel & isabelle waffle • the waffles are our favorite kind of waffle - soft and chewy on the inside and crispy on the edges. the ice cream choices on the other hand are a tad tragic, we tasted everything on the menu before settling on the final 3 (simply cause most of it tasted weird - please don’t try their hokkaido lavender). the waffle and ice cream pairing were delightful though its a pity that the ice cream melted so fast. it was barely 5 mins and there was already a mini puddle on the waffle. the isabelle waffle was the real surprise. the greek yogurt and granola bits paired really well with the waffle with the granola giving the sweet treat an additional crunch. fruits were fresh and sweet too and it felt so healthy that it takes away all the sinfulness of eating dessert

📍forlino; singapore📍capesante; hand-dived hokkaido scallops, hokkaido sea urchin sabayon, celeriac purée & pickled celeriac • there was a hint of trepidation when we ordered since we’re not big fans of seafood but the scallops and sea urchin were fresh with no hints of fishiness (the same can’t be said for their abalone that we had for another dish😭) the purée was light and the layer of skin above it adds to the texture. the scallops was unbelievably soft, and paired well with the purée and pickles. & the sea urchin is so creamy and nice that i might turn into a fan of it after this meal. so unbelievably good 😍
📍lenu; singapore📍braised marbled beef noodle & crispy chicken cutlet noodles • lenu had always smelled better than it tasted. everytime we walk past the store, we would be attracted by the smell but as usual the noodles tasted a lot more mediocre than imagined. the beef slices in the noodles were flavorful and soft but there was nothing special about the soup and noodles. similarly for the chicken cutlet, the meat tasted good while the noodles failed to perform. probably would get attracted by the smell again the next time we walk past, but most likely not going back in 😞
📍dosirak; singapore📍beef bulgogi & soy sauce chicken • food that’s fun to eat somehow always tastes better. really loved how we can shake it like the old style korean metal lunch boxes & getting to choose your own veggies makes it better since i only like all the crunchy veggies. the portion can be quite little at times with the amount of veggies given being quite inconsistent and the meat can be a tad over seasoned. but on the good days, where everything tastes good, it’s a lunch that i’ll come back to over and over again. tbh, even if it’s salty, we’re still in love with it 😍
📍gram; singapore📍premium pancakes & chili beans pancakes • there’s a lack of consistency in the standard of the premium pancakes. the pancake in the middle was soft and fluffy but the first and last pancake of the stack were significantly harder and tasted more like a normal pancake than a soufflé pancake. (personally found the habitat one better!) the butter and maple syrup were nice though. the chili beans pancake was the star of the night. the sausage and chili beans were good and paired well with the pancake. the service was honestly more memorable than the food. our pancakes were running super late, so the very nice service lady actually provided us with a complimentary ice cream to make up for it 🎈 p.s. we saw someone’s pancake stack topple after it was set on the table and we almost broke down for her 😭
📍dumpling darlings; singapore📍braised pork noodles, sichuan pork noodles, momo curry, spicy sichuan, grapefruit thyme strawberry green tea & salted plum wolfberry pu-erh • the egg noodles were so nice that they should be called noodles darling rather than dumpling darlings (but alliteration ftw) seasoning was on point esp for braised pork noodles but the sichuan pork noodles could have a bit more spice. the dumplings had different fillings for the different flavor & they all tasted so interesting. spicy sichuan is damn good 😍😍😍 & can i say i just want to try all the drinks??
📍pasta supremo; singapore📍prawn olio olio • curly pasta, sichuan garlic oil, garlic prawns, lap cheong crumble, and tobiko; loved the crunchiness of the tobiko and peppercorns from the garlic oil as it added another dimension to the chewiness of the pasta. the sichuan garlic oil was relatively spicy esp towards the end of the dish when the remaining pasta were completely soaked in oil but surprisingly it didn’t taste greasy. a will visit if in the vicinity again!
