I almost never eat spicy food 🌶️ (my tolerance is… infant level at best 😅), but this hawker stall is the rare exception. Some say it’s the best BBQ sambal stingray in the West — and honestly, I swear by it.

Loaded with onions, slathered in generous sambal — intensely fragrant, seriously spicy, and dangerously addictive. 🔥 The stingray and sotong were super fresh, soft, tender and cooked just right.

Worth every bead of sweat and would gladly come back for more. 🤍

Spotted this banner at @Steak99.sg — steak set from $9.90 only?! Impossible to resist. 😍 Went for the 150g sirloin 🥩 served with rice, soup and cabbage, and cooked exactly how I like it on a sizzling lava stone.

Pro tip: Move the steak to a side plate once it’s cooked to your preferred doneness to avoid overcooking.

Fair warning: Be prep that you might walk away smelling a little smoky. 😌

Came across a ST article sharing that O Kee Roast Delight is run by the former head chef of the legendary Toh Kee Roast Duck — the very one my mum always raves about. Naturally, we had to give it a try. 👀

We went for their Cantonese charcoal roast duck and meats. The duck was slightly chewy yet juicy, with a thin layer of charred, crisp skin — plus big thumbs up 👍 to the chef for kindly helping to debone the drumstick for my mum’s special request. Such a thoughtful touch. 🤩

The Neapolitan red pizza had a soft, chewy thin crust with charred edges, tangy tomato sauce and salty Parma ham. The carbonara sauce was rich and creamy with crisp salt-cured meat and handmade pasta. Everything was satisfying… though I must admit, it was quite jelat trying to finish the carbonara on my own. 😅

Stumbled upon this little gem while we were out doing our CNY shopping 🛒. A fat, round, fragrant, crunchy UFO oyster cake 🛸 — freshly fried only after you order. Inside? Two fresh, plump oysters 🦪🦪, savoury minced meat and crunchy veggies like celery, all wrapped together in one golden crispy shell. Definitely one to remember. 🤩
